A Free Molotov? The Gorky in World of Warships Legends

Got the Gorky, got four (4) citadels on a Nurnberg from 14km with the AP shells. I am liking the ship but does have a definite learning curve if you are not used to cruisers.

Same happened to me, very first match at long range, beginning of match. I sank a Budyonny with 6 citadels from 2 salvos. Left a nice first impression.

Got Gorky also, still trying to figure her out (first game was with makarov, concealment was on par with my firing range lol)

Got the Gorky from a small crate from the Campaign last night... I got the Molotov from a Santa crate last December, and have been enjoying her very much...which surprised me. Stay at range, use cover when you can, head on a swivel, watch any battleship shooting at you and try to dodge....yeah, then just come whatever may...LOL

I love the Gorky! No lie, my very first time firing the guns, 4 cits to a budyonny, the next shot hit 2 more cits to sink it. recorded the clip and knew I was gonna love that line!

To my suprise, I pulled the T6 Tallinn, and the T4 out of the crates. RNG is not usually that nice to me, lol. Looking forward to Gorky. ❤

Love cruisers usually, just don’t love this ship. The term heavy cruiser simply doesn’t apply to this one. Armor is trash IMO and given that you’re at least going to be shot at by Tier V BBs, maybe VI, you get annihilated pretty quickly.

A heavy cruiser is not defined by its armour but by its armament. The two French heavy cruiser that came before the Algérie historically had practically no armour for example but they still had 8 inch guns meaning they were a heavy cruiser.
