I’m not the only one with this opinion, but I think the 1.0 4 stars like Bennett,Xingqiu,Xiangling,and Fischl are too good. Because of how broken they are, people have their standards unreasonably high to the point that units like Freminet, Lynette, and Kaveh are considered “bad” or “not as good” even though they are perfectly fine units that fill the role they’re meant to.

Also just to say it. Xingqiu, Bennett, Fischl, Xiangling, Sucrose, will always be better than everyone else because everyone and their parents, grandparents, pets, friends, neighbors, partners, boss, coworkers, and god, knows that it’s not fair to compare them, they are literally 5stars. There’s no reason for people to ever lower their standards, especially because of how much money people pay for these characters, I respect your opinion sure BUT Hoyo isn’t known for being respectful of players time and money, so the reason why people have such high standards is because a lot of people want to get the most out of what they are paying for… if your a whale you want the most of these over priced characters and if your F2P you don’t have the pulls for everyone so no one wants to give weaker characters a chance until they have all the good characters first and it’s just smart to do that. If Hoyo played fair, the players would probably play everyone.. a lot of people find it very fun being broken op and seeing how much damage they can get. Power sells and weak characters don’t pay Hoyos bills. The top5 4stars should be the standard not the exception, if I had things my way I’d probably buff all 4 stars up to what they should have been from the start… yes even Amber. I play Dehya, Candace, Dori, Amber, Aloy, Collei, Xinyan, they just like every other weak character literally have one problem and just one… they don’t do good enough damage to justify playing them over the better units, that’s it, and units like Heizou, Thoma, Mika, Ningguang, Noelle, Faruzan, Gorou, Sara, Yun Jin, are characters people would play if they weren’t so high investment. No wants to get 3 copies of the 5star just to C6 the 4star on a banner, people should play more characters I feel but it feels bad when max a character and really build them all the way just to have a level 60 bloom them out damage them, Shinobu, Nahida, Yelan, will just be better than any random character you build because that’s the point so why would I pull for a C6 4star when C2 Raiden is just an easy W.

Dude, Freminet is one of the fun broadsword user after Diluc. Even more so than Itto in my opinion, even. He's fast! I might actually want to build him, even if he's not going to be my main 😁 Remember people. Meta is temporary, good boi is eternal 😌

I liked Fremi as a story character upon meeting him, but I was hooked as soon as I tried his gameplay out. I was incredibly lucky to get him with the primos I had saved up (free2pain) and immediately geared him with whatever pieces I had available and had way too much fun smacking stuff across the playing field with sacrificial great sword (yes, not the best, but near constant E uptime really helped me get a feel for his kit and attack patterns). I'm still currently building him and am so glad to see more players maining characters that the meta would look down on. We need more variety! From an AR60 Abyss12-3 Heal Benny/Anemo Sucrose main without a single 5* maxed - Play who you like, build them to the teeth, and don't forget that Genshin is very much a sandbox when it comes to "effective" playstyle.

I've been a xinyan/physical character main since the start of the game, i was gonna level freminet no matter what once i heard he was physical dmg dealer. Oh my god, his NUMBERS??!? I've had eula since her first banner and no phys claymore feel as badass as freminet (except xinyan to me, but she is super high investment). I use xinyan as a shield/sub-dps/support for him w a flex hydro/cryo slot and shinobu. I can't tell you how long I've been waiting for a character like him 😭 thx for making this vid i love seeing people care about freminet for either story or gameplay. He's great!

As an F2P kaeya main who just started playing recently and whose favourite characters aren't exactly meta (kaveh, Heizou, candace and xinyan) I get it. There were some streamers openly telling people to delete or abandon their account just because they don't have meta character. Sheesh! It was fun seeing you build and max out Freminet .

As a fellow AR59 player and someone who loves Freminet a LOT it makes me really happy to see someone talking positively about him, it broke my heart when everyone was saying he was a bad unit. However, I also have a few two cents I'd like to add: - First, I think a character should be tested both at level 80 and 90, because there's some characters who have a lot of damage difference from 80 to 90 (take Fischl for example) and some who almost don't have at all (like Diona). Because of this, I wouldn't say 90 is the minimun, 80 is. It would be cool if the content creators had put him at least in 80, and then made another video showcasing him at 90 so we could see the difference. - Second, I believe the talents for testing should be 9-9-9 or 8-8-8, double crowning only for the sake of testing is a bit too much because crowns are the rarest item in the game, let alone for new players. Aside from that, I agree with pretty much everything you've said! So glad someone understands the value of Freminet and Mika!

I built freminet and since I’m a new player, he is my best main DPS right now. I got lucky in the Pale Flame domain and got pretty good artifacts and use a good claymore on him. He hits hard and if you use him right, he’s great! Especially as a Four star DPS! I’m definitely waiting for chance to get more constellations and to eventually crown his talents when i can. He’s good! You just have to invest in him.

Heizou, another amazing 4 Star DPS that's forgotten because they have a 5 star equivalent: First time? Jokes aside, yeah I agree with you, as a Xinyan/Klee main who also plays Freminet it's sad to see this community so focused on Meta when it only matters for like one day every 2 weeks when Abyss resets, and even then you can still clear it with non-meta unit with the right investments and strategies.

while i appreciate the help in how to make my boy as powerful as he can be, i wish we didn't put down other characters to make our points. I have yet to find a single character who isn't fun to use once figured out, and can't make a valued asset to their team - hell, the only one i haven't figured out how to solo so far is electro traveller, who's still one of my FAVORITE supports. my c6 underbuilt bennett has become a crucial member of the "kill the seahorse in 15 seconds" team, and Aloy continues to be one of my most useful units. i dunno, it just rubs me the wrong way when we have to put down characters we don't get as much use out of.

I do agree with your points. Some of the "CC" 's in the community are borderline pretentious and think they know what they are talking but they are just inferring from other CC's opinion and never bother to test characters. I despise fucking tier lists and KZbin Shorts unless that creator has proven themselves to TC, show numbers or show gameplay before babbling their useless opinion. My right hand rule is unless the CC shows tangible data like numbers, gameplay showcase etc., they are basically feels crafting at that point and feels crafting goes bad when players who don't understand the game eat the shit information out as truth and as a result ruin their gameplay or make them commit bad decisions on their account.

Ah, Freminet and Mika, two of the characters I really want, and of course, two of the only 4-stars I don't have. Great video btw, and I relate to what you've said a lot. As an AR 60 1.2 player, variety /IS/ important! I've started playing way more varied teams and character comps because my main ones were getting a little boring. For example, even though people trash on her a lot, I find Aloy fun to play, even more so than some of my "meta" DPS characters! People also need to understand that abyss and meta are not everything; the most important thing in any game is to have fun!

I'm actually so happy I found this video! I love Freminet and I'm counting the day before I get my free freminet from the event! I'm prefarming and I'm sure happy at the idea of building him right! I did some researchers on KZbin to build him properly and the amount of people complaining or making fun of him were too many. It made me so sad to see people judging a character if they can't 36 abyss in 20 seconds, they often forget that this game is not just about that. finally someone said that abyss is not all. i mean i get that most content creators are gacha veterans and most gacha content are boring story stages, specifically like levels and then the endgame but genshin is an open world game anyway aside of that, content creators way too much depend on bennet. i get why, the reason is "high numbers" but still... plus even in abyss bennet is an annoying character to work around, overworld is even worse. As a Qiqi DPS Main I couldn’t agree more. (Well idk about the full extent of crowns/invesment just for show off, but do agree lv20 or not even accounting how much investment dose is bogus) I wish I could have more Mika cons, but he’s still fun to play. Hitting things real fast is so much fun and it’s just a skill not the burst. I haven’t built fremenet but being touted as a 3 star is wrong and bogus. People really show their bias when proclaiming dehya being good vs other new or old characters like fremenet. Yeah her design and character character is cool even some of the best but dosnt change her self sabatoging kit + low numbers. This is in contrast to other characters they don’t look into their character or even look at their potential in numbers and just say trash, not worth or other things. Make me sad. (Btw no hate on dehya mains/enjoyers she’s cool and deserved so much better but…. Yeaaaaahhhhh…..)

Yep, the Zyox of Freminet has been born. I mean dude, I don't find him fun, I prefer Heizou (Who I didn't need to crown or get to level 90 to have good dmg), in a game really focused on reactions I feel physical is the true cringe, even mono geo sounds more fun (Even though it's more expensive than just physical). Anyhow, I agree that most content creators just repear whatever the chinese community say, then less popular youtubers say the same as the big content creators, and so on and so forth.

I use Freminet with the Bell because it's his "canon" weapon he uses and I get ver decent numbers still with him. He's Fun to play and I never felt pressured by any meta to not play him. I love the frosty penguin boi and yeeting Pers at Mach 2 at enemies

Treat Freminet as you treat Eula. Cryo dmg + physical dmg with high crit rate and dmg. Pair them with hydro- applier units (mona, kok, barbie). Both Eula and Freminet have huge advantage of shatter dmg, use it wisely.

On the topic of characters being overlooked and underused, from personal experience - I started having fun again in Genshin when I stopped caring about "meta" and the abyss, stopped molding trying to get 0.001% perfect artifact RNG and started experimenting with characters i had no interest in prior - Candace, Dehya, Dori, Layla, Thoma, Sayu... Some wonderful and horrible teams have come out of it, but it's been an adventure :D

same happened with yae miko even tho shes a 5star. i still pulled for her regardless and now all of a sudden everyones praising her for being an insane unit, having good damage and suddendly having to place 3 turrets on the field doesnt seem that much of a drag anymore. there are few other thing players took for granted like the burst cost but, what im trying to say is unless a character shakes the meta in some way, there are automatically "bad" because some other unit might do it better. i dont give a damn if fischl is better im still going to use yae. stay strong freminet mains, he has one of the most unique designed kits and honestly him being strong as well is just a sugar on top.

I was a newbie when I got Freminet and something that I did as a joke encouraged me to build him… I pitted him in a team of all level 1 C0 Characters (him, Xinyan, Bennett, and Fischil) against level 30+ slimes in Cloudretainer’s quest AND THEY MADE IT FUTHER THAN MY BUILT TEAM AT THE TIME!! Freminet was my main dps of that group… now I main him and Chongyun

i use freminet with 4 pc gladiators and wolf's gravestone, still works great. honestly one of my best characters. my team for him is xingqiu, mika, and then whoever else i think might work. sometimes chonyun, or kazuha, maybe bennett or venti. honestly, he works with just about everyone i've used. the thing about genshin is that any character can be amazing depending on how committed you are to building them. even dori and xinyan can outperform other characters if given the chance.

i started using Freminet for his aesthetics. but my main was razor until randomly he appeared in one of my wishes.i quit the game when sumeru came out and was happy to see i got a cute character after i rejoined but then i didnt really think about him because i didnt wanna let go of Razor but after around 4-5 months i saw him in my character section and now i was not scared anymore to use other characters ( after i got mualani) so then i started building him and at level 70.... i saw the highest amount of physical damage in my account that i even my level 90, wolfs gravestone Razor couldnt do...i was absolutely amazed how good he was even tho their builds were almost the same and freminets talents werent as high as my razors. i love freminet and physical sm

I am also a very proud Freminet main, and I fully agree with your statements. Mika and Freminet are SO good together like my god 😂 and add Kuki into the mix and I feel like god sometimes. Though, I am at a slightly Lower level (I’m AR 45) and I really am SUPER DUPER astonished at his damage! Tbh, as a wanderer main, i do enjoy fast attack speed. But like, I started playing back in 2.8 (technically 1.5 but lost my acc and the ability to play for a bit.) And physical + the shatter reaction have always been one of my favorite things. So much so that i ran a physical chongyun for literally ever. The fact freminet is exactly what i wouldve wanted early game makes me so happy and even if i main wanderer im still heavy on building freminet. I do wish i couldve gotten more of his cons tho. Edit: also, i c6'ed my bennett on purpose. Im not gonna be using him for physical teams. I specifically went half insane trying to get mika because i wanted to c6 bennett but i love physical.

freminent is awesome, even without mika or c6 or whatever. i have him at lv 80, c3, 8-7-5, and a lv 70 r0 weapon and as a cryo dps he is still crazy good for just a 4*. i think people fail to actually look into characters and instead choose to base them off of very little testing and a quick skim of their kit, which is super dumb! im so glad at least some people recognize him as a good character. for me, his skill does 20k-30k per hit without any buffs w/ shatter

I am a physical Qiqi main, and the LOVE I have for her is enough for me. Sure, she doesn't do big pp damage (tho she does a lot of fast damage), but she is cool and it's the reason i play genshin, because i like her kit and how fast she hits opponents, I've learned all the tricks on how to do dragonstrike with her and i have fun. In the moment I watched Freminet I loved him, his kit is so fun and so well made. I'm used to the fast NA of Qiqi and that frustrates me when I use Freminet, but what about it? I just need to actually invest in learning how to build and play him. Like, he is so fun, and so relatable, and his animations are cool too. You can even put EM on him because shatter escales with EM with the same multipliers of hyperbloom. Also, hes attacks are pretty and idk about the other but shiny stuff makes me happy. I don't really know what i was trying to say with this, but yeah, Freminet is cool and physical too (you can even use him with Bennett in a melt team, or as a fridge driver, good lord).

Respectfully, he is still just a worse Eula, even in his ideal circumstance. And Eula aint that great of a unit. To expect double crowning a character and level 90ing them is a bit much considering the majoriy of units are viable at level 80, level 8 on their important talents. Additionally, as a unit who scales with attack, 90ing him doesn't even do that much, ascending him to 80/90 is more than worth it, but actually leveling him to 90 only provides 29 base attack. As someone who has a built freminet and plays him quite a bit, including his shatter passive his numbers simply aren't up to snuff MATHEMATICALLY speaking. And while I sort of agree with you view on abyss, I also think its misguided. Abyss is what dictates viability, as the only part of the game with a modicum of difficulty, its the only circumstance in which it matters. Also regarding mikas best weapon, its ussually skyward (once again, mathematically speaking, there is no argument here.) Due to his high energy needs it tends to pull ahead unless c2+ and double cryo (which mind you if you have c2+ is most of his teams, in which case: yeah eulas weapon is only beaten by r5 serpents.)

Eula main here: I love her, and I poured my heart and soul to her. A lot of what you said still resonates as true, unfortunately. I hope we can get a Mika rerun, though. I never got him, and I desperately want him to come home :( I think the real issue with physical is that HYV isnt going out of their way to support it in the same way they're going out of their way to support elemental attacks and elemental reactions. Even the recent superconduct "buff" does nothing for phys dps. It was just another element buff. They could have increased phys dps somehow, or something else to show that it was for the phys mains. Im sure they'll "fix" physical with a character eventually, but unfortunately, I dont think it'll be any time soon

I kinda went ham on that banner so I have him at c5, he's genuinely one of the most fun characters I've played so far. I've gotten a lot of characters recently so it's been hard on the mora and xp books but I did get him up to 70 and snow tomb is at 80. I'm really hoping the rumors are true about him being free in one of the upcoming patches so I can get him to c6 and he'll be my second c6 character :)

I really like Freminet myself, I don't play him Physical (yet?), I actually like running him Cryo at least for now, I'm thinking I'll build him Physical in the future. I kinda want to throw some EM on him now just to see how it turns out, particular for his Burst And I mostly agree with you, especially about Bennett and Mika and overworld. Idk about hitlag tho, cause as I understand, hit lag also affects AtkSpd and while Freminet feels like one of the faster, AtkSpd still can only do so much for him (and everyone else, I actually more so want them to ramp up scalings for AtkSpd so it's more widely usable). But idk about double crowning and level 90 as the baseline nor the average. Sure, mains are going to do that and more - myself I'm doing 9, 9 (maybe Burst too) and all six Ascensions but most people would stop at 8, 8, 80 and that makes more sense for testing, with decent artifacts and weapons of course. Cons are more complicated and tricky imo in context

You've got your Freminet *lvl 90, Constellation 6, Triple Crowned, with a 5 star Claymore* that you pulled just for him, and you go out in the overworld and use *Mika's Burst, Yelan's Burst, and Freminet's Burst* to battle some random mobs. I'm not sure who is being more "Try-Hard and Cringe" to be honest :/ Meanwhile, I'm here casually strolling with my lvl 72 Kuki, lvl 70 DendroMC, and lvl 60 Barbara and I'm doing just fine. Sometimes I'll even use my lvl 70 Kazuha and boy does he make the game a breeze! Still, despite all that, I'm here because guess what: I just got my 1st (Free) Copy of Freminet from the Event in 4.2 today, and I thought this might be a great time to finally use my only 5 star Skyward Pride lol. I'm interested in Freminet and I think he looks cool, hence why I find myself looking for some Videos about him on KZbin. I've never hated on him, and I'm gonna build him lol. That's it. Just wanted to come by and share some of my thoughts. You can definitely keep encouraging people to play Freminet, 100%. I wouldn't say I'm a Freminet main, Lyney fits that bill more but I am a devoted House of the Hearth fan-- working on triple crowning our cryo boy right now and he's really not underwhelming at all, especially with Mika he is a solid shatter dps. He might not be anything crazy or groundbreaking but someone cooked on his playstyle and kit in mihoyo and I feel in the future once we get more dedicated phys supports he will truly shine.

Thing with Freminet is that yeah, he might do good dmg, but compared to other characters is still mediocre. Of course if you have him triple crown itll do dmg, a built Amber can do up to 250k with a baron bunny, a Barbara can do 300k dmg with a Xianyun and those can do it easier and with less investment than a Freminet. Want to clarify that this is not a hate comment, just explaining why he is and will be portraid that way by the comunity.

very entertaining video! im glad youtube recommended it! :] as someone who doesn't care for meta, this video was very refreshing compared to the usual "meta this, meta that" videos i see. i had to skip out on getting Freminet unfortunately, but he will be mine one day!! i've been a Eula main since her debut banner, so seeing another physical damage dealer is really nice.
