Love the Seashell hotel. Stayed there with my wife just before New Year just over a year ago. It is not cheap but the rooms and view make it a worthwhile place

I live 10mins from the Salt Hotel. Aunties restauraunt next door used to be good food. They put a sign up saying minimmum spend 500 baht per order so we stopped going. Putting a price on an order is unwelcoming. The sand outside used to be perfect. Then someone had a bright idea to ship truck loads of imported sand from elsewhere and really killed it. You hardly see anyone on the beaches there now. Mae Ram Phueng beach where Lucas lives is 25 minutes away and well worth the visit for a natural sandy beach. As for the national park uphill trek. I was driving down the road and saw a sign for this. We went in unprepared and got to level 5 at which stage we turned back. Not recommended in flip flops. It took weeks for the cuts to heal.

You eat Durian, but have not tried Jack Fruit, it's really good too especially fresh and cold in the fridge. 😋

Nice. How is the toe Mate? Healed up? BTW, I am looking at a place in Rayong. It is called the Thai House. Built as a Bali Thai style 3 bedroom ocean view from all bedrooms and a private infinity pool. It is likely out of my budget but I am checking it out anyway. Time to try the coast instead of the mountains. My wife retries July 1 so Thailand is our destination. By the way. what happened to voting on the 7 levels of waterfalls we were going to vote on which was the best? 😁😁

Check out Oriental Beach Village. Both single houses and condo with its own beach front. I sold my house there and kinda regret it. 😢 Past Baan Pae. On the long stretch of beach-front land with the road set way back from the beach. On the same road as Novotel and the Marriott. Very rare in Thailand to have land along the coast and not a road. The houses are 3-bedroom and international standard. 24 houses and likely some for sale. And the condo on the same property. I miss it dearly.

@@MarkTattersall-t1b Dude, Rayong is NOT all factories. Past highway 36 and 3 juncture where PTT has there large facility beyond is very nice scenery. Did you know Rayong is famous for their tropical fruit farms. The Thais flock there for all the types of fruit grown in Rayong. They are not produced in factories. I guess your exposure is limited to the industrial estates. Highway 3145 all the way to Klaeng is beautiful. Better research Rayong just a bit more.

One of my biggest nightmares is losing my keys in the middle of nowhere. Wow you are looking very fit now. Gym is paying off. Always enjoy the Thailand vids.
