I don't think any kind of affordable GFX will eat the share of the fullframes. Available lens option for GFX is limited and nowhere comparable to the likes of RF, E and Z. Fujifilm should just stay what GFX stands for. For Niche usage.

He said that Fuji will expand the lens option and new smaller bodies plus video. So he is talking what he expect Fuji will do. Fuji is not standing still. Fuji needs to convince the aps-c user that needs and wants a bigger sensor that their GFX is suitable for them. From this standpoint Frames is looking at the future and predicts the step Fuji will do. I agree with Frames on this one.

Now a days people are shooting and getting pro results with phones and most of us pro photographer's work only be used on websites and social media platforms, so Fuji camera are very much capable of producing pro level results all this spec discussion is not that important as us photographers need to understand our needs and upscale our own photographic skills. Don't wast your hard earned money for these spec loaded cameras. Digital cameras tec is already saturated long ago and now what these big brands can sell is only spec sheets including Fuji also. Just for your info I am also a professional photographer and using XT 3 from last 6 years it's not a perfect camera but I learned to work with it. Happy shooting...

I sold my Sony A7R5 and will be purchasing GFX 100II by the fall, hopefully. If not, I'll just pick up an old and slower 50R or 50SII

it took sony several years to get the e mount lineup to where it is now and G mount will take a while to get there, its not going to be 'by storm'. also theres probably significant R&D required to get these massive medium format lenses to focus as fast as full frame lenses. Heavier glass is harder to move fast and accurately.

I wish you were right on all of these points, however, my local Fuji rep told me that the GFX 100SII will be housed in the same body as the GFX 100S and won’t have the detachable VF found on the GFX 100II. I’m speculating that it will have a higher res VF than the 100S but not as high as the 100II. I expect that the AF will be improved as well as IBIS. It will be interesting to see if there are other improvements that are brand new or ones that have trickled down from the 100II or maybe even trickled up from the X-H2S. 😊

The medium format is a niche camera used for some special purpose. Those doing potraits, studio and landscape photography. It is not for the Tony Northrup wildlife and nature photographers.

All good!! Fuji is a fanboi company and is for street photo posers/ suckers. Similar to Leica digital and film Fanbois also. I really dont get it. Photography is an image game NOT a CAMERA game. Look at me, Im cool becoz I have an M6 around my neck . Going back, Fuji GFX will go the FAKE SCARCITY route to bleed and gouge the sucker fanbois. Actually Im glad that Sony is the leader in the pro feild. My closest friend is a pro photograher ang makes a living out kf shooting photos and video in the UK and he told me he startedFuji but had to transition to Sony because of the very reasons you stated.90 percent of his feild are using Sony. Also just my observation walking around my city and seeing photo shoots in public. I see Sony, Canon and Nikon.

@@rumrill5020 and your drfense?? Whats your opinion on Fuji and the camera market today? Add to the knowledge pool. I do sound like a 12 year but that is beside the point. What is happening now is the biggest question? The price of things were before the pandemic but price of old used cameras especially Fuji and Leica is fake as hell and hyped beyond belief. I both have those cameras and IMHO avoid those brands now if you are photography just now.

The only market I can see for this camera is fashion and wedding photography and portraits, so i doubt it will make inroads plus Fuji lacks manufacturing capacity.
