I had an incredible time exploring Jeddah, Saudi Arabia! We started out with an early morning trip to the new corniche, before eventually heading over to the Old City of Al-Balad to explore historical Jeddah. I met a lot of great people along the way and tried some incredibly delicious foods too!

My dad worked in Jeddah for 25 years as an accountant and Saudi people are really hospitable. He had loads of Saudi friends and they even let him stay in their house. We live in America now, but the times in Saudi were really good. Planning on visiting soon 🇺🇸 🇸🇦

Thank you for taking a tour of Jeddah. I did not go to Jeddah, but I live far away from it i live in Abha it's in Saudi Arabia but so far from Jeddah

This video just made my day :) I'm Saudi & live in Jeddah ... I thought you were very respectful and understanding of the culture (no matter how bizarre I'm sure it seems to a foreigner). The boys gave you a very authentic experience for sure lol (maybe too authentic haha. The shawarma tho ...). If you're still in Jeddah, you should definitely try Al- Baik (aka best-fried chicken in KSA and the thing I'm most proud to call a Saudi business lol). Also, I work in Saudia Airlines and the part you showed in the video is Saudia City (has Saudia offices and foreigners compound) and it's not that heavily guarded, it's only closed off to non-Saudia staff.

But Saudia staff can invite you in. That's how I used to get in and use the swimming facilities. I actually learned to drive in Saudi City because I had an uncle who worked for the airline.

I would like to say that the woman who was sitting in the car is sitting there by her own Choice. It would be kind of awkward if she was the only lady in that small shop. However, if you go to other more modern restaurants in better areas . Eg McDonald’s, you will find women there. I am a lady myself and it would be too much awkwardness in that situation. Also women have lots of rights, it is not as the western media shows it to be women get excellent education especially especially the universities there in KSA. You should look up princess Norah university and king Faisal university for girls, they are impressive. Women also get free scholarships,Just like men students to go study abroad.

Nice trip, generosityis common in SA but I think you missed south area in SA (Abha, Jiza, Najran) more traditional and historical area but make sure to discover area by your self , stay away from Mall or restaurant
