@fantasticworld74852 жыл бұрын
Exactly and good point. It’s funny how people always say the streets are empty because of the heat which has nothing to do with it because it’s that way even during winter. The city is spread out that’s why people drive directly to work or schools. Only restaurants, cafes and malls are open from early morning.

Saudi is basically just like anywhere else in the middle east - lovely culture, friendly and disciplined locals, warm Arab hospitality, Western comforts everywhere, beautiful architecture and history everywhere. As a Filipino American, I have traveled all over the Middle East and Gulf and it's the safest and most hospitable and friendly region in the world to me. Not just because Filipinos are well known all over the Middle East and Gulf and the locals have a long history with them and sometimes even speak some Tagalog, but the people are truly, truly nice and want you to enjoy their culture. I feel a bit more home in the Middle East than most people though, just because of the abundance of Filipinos living in almost every Arab country.

Now I hope you are aware of the fact that modern science is quite clear in its conclusions that being gay or any member of the LGBT community, is mostly just how they are because of their genes and not by choice or "culture". You might want to read up on which things cause sexual orientation and why punishing people for having the"wrong" sexual orientation might not be the way to go. In my opinion, people shouldnt be punished for things that they have absolutely no responsability or control over : Race, gender and so forth. This is all covered in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations in 1948. The whole point is, is that some things simply transcend culture and are, regardless of what you believe, simply your right as a member of the species Homo Sapiens. Now if believing in this makes me "brainwashed" as you so eloquently point out, im more than happy to be just that.

Every place youve been to if you go at night or around 4-5 (especially on the weekend) you will find waaay more people. And also, usually some shops close around 12 and open back up at around 4 thats why most of the shops you filmed are closed. And this most of the case for most cities here in Saudis. You should have went to albalad(historic districy) at night, its way more lively and beautiful and you would have had a clear path of where to go cause the time you went is when Jeddah Season happening and there would have been volunteers and people to help guide you, and you could have gone inside some of the more famous houses.
