How long do you spend in eye-to-eye contact, communicating with your baby? For example when she has her bottle... And then she is mesmerised by videos on your phone! Babies brains develop massively in their first year, when communication with their parent is much more beneficial than videos or TV!!

Respectfully read about babies watching tv, ipads, phones or any other electronics at this early age. That could be the reason she is sleeping so little during the day, mine is 5 m, at first she was exposed to a tv not watching it but it was near by during the day, as soon as i could got her away from it and any electronics she sleeps way better now.

I respect your advice. But now that Brynlee is older her 2 naps a day are great (much longer). Not all babies are good nappers in the beginning.

@irockstar77444 жыл бұрын
I feel annoying commenting this as I know you've tried so many things and this video is 2 weeks old at this point. But I believe a huge reason she might struggle with naps is because she is used to being rocked to sleep. So when she wakes up a little at the top of her sleep cycle and realizes she isnt being rocked in mommies arms anymore she isnt able to put herself back to sleep. Being able to put themselves to sleep helps so much for naps and when sleep regressions hit! But as you mentioned you enjoy doing it so obviously do you mama.

Brynlee, Roxy and Tucker are so adorable 😍 She’s so cute with her daddy! Lillian is sleeping through the night but she’s a night owl as she cluster feeds (still breastfeeding) in the evenings. Lillian’s usually has 2 day naps one at 10ish am and a second one around 2ish pm. She will only nap in her swing or on the floor on her play mat during the day. She hates sleeping in her bed during the day. We also do eat play sleep with 3 to 4 hours between feeds. I don’t sleep train though just follow Lilly’s tired cues. Her day naps are anywhere between 45mins (for the day) up to 3 hours. We also use modern cloth nappies as we have land fill issues where I live. Our little Maltese Shih tzu is a licker too 😆 And I’m with you on the outfit changes 🤣 Lillian loves to watch and listen Elmo on Sesame Street.

Wow...20-30 min naps?!? That has to be very tough on you! I had my kids on a 3-hr schedule during the day for the eat, play, sleep routine so their first nap was around 10/10:30-ish and that was usually their longest nap of the day--at least 2 hours. Her room also seems pretty bright, good blackout curtains make a world of difference. You're doing a great job, she's beautiful :-)

Brinley looks so happy now! Have things gotten easier than they were in the beginning? I need some hope that things get easier 😭

Oh yes! I think their little tummies have so much adjusting to do in the beginning that it causes all kinds of gas and sensitivity. Makes sense! She has gotten SO much better though, we never have to use gas drops anymore! And she definitely cries with a purpose now, no more of that "purple crying" like in the beginning. If you haven't heard of that phase, I highly suggest looking it up!
