Oh wow! Amazing job on astorath Sultan! With those wings, hair and skin combo my mind immediately made me think of comus nocturnus who is by far my favorite astates I've heard of. Something about a person fighting with nothing at all but hands and teeth is awesome, and add to that the final fight we hear of him so far, makes him the most bad ass 40k character I've heard about to date.

Just a tip: for wardog brigands put the stubber on them instead of the havoc launcher. It will help you control better who is the closest eligible target, with the havoc it gives you indirect and can make it more difficult to control that.

Never been that bothered by the Vampire bois but I love watching how much Sultan loves his Twilight Marines. The "here is something I love" and "This is so much fun" elements come through in spades. Epic moments too, can't wait to see the third instalment with the Jet Pack dudes. Cool batrep - thanks Winters and (Son Of Winters) Sultan.

Does it actually say the DC dread can’t make a surge move into engagement range? I haven’t seen that it does.

Reading the leaked datasheet it,.I read that it CAN walk into engagement range cause the move has a name and is not a 'Normal Move'. There is a mention about engagement range but that's if the dread is ALREADY in engagement range and therefore cannot move

'Driven by fury move ' "dread cannot do a DBF move if it is battleshocked or within engagement range of one or more models." Means if it isn't already in engagement range then it can make the move and end into engagement of enemy models. Rules could have been written more clearly for sure!

What a game, seeing all DC was just glorious. No rules mistakes made at all, after saying Morty ignores damage reduction :P Didn't matter though, lots of killing and nail biting finish, really enjoyed that. How did you like the Brigands and the slightly different PM squads?

First off, amazing game. It was very entertaining. However it just bothers me when I see mistakes or missed opportunities. I'm not trying to be rude I just want to have the best understanding of the rules that I can. That being said, I don't know the rules for the death company so I can't point out any rules mistakes for them. Death Guard is my favorite faction though so I feel I know them pretty well, though please correct me if I'm wrong. Mortarion ignores his own damaged state, at least that's what I see when I look it up and I have been playing it. He would ignore the damage reduction from Lamarties, which means that he probably did kill 4. Then, if you fell back Mortarion toward your 2 tanks they would have had much better shots. ( I think they could have wiped at least 1 squad with the buffs from Mortarion especially if you had 1 CP for Boilblight) Monsters don't have the pistol restriction either so Mortarion should have been using his rotwind. Also the Foul Blightspawn is a part of the Biologus Purifier's Squad so he should also have lethal hits on 5 as he gives the unit he is leading lethal hits. Also, also not sure if its because you don't have that many other weapons actually modeled but in my opinion there is literally no reason to take boltguns for the plague marines. Even with the lethal hits. 2 flamers, 2 melta and a blight launcher just do way better in my opinion, and I know the unit with the Foul Blightspawn went on the side with no infantry, but that unit can have an insane overwatch with 3 flamers and lethal hits on 5 (way better than a drone). Obviously this is a friendly game and it's not meant to be competitive so no matter what the most important thing is to have fun. Keep up the good work making these awesome battle reports.

It is a mistery how you were not able to have all the Plague Marines in combat with the two Dreadnaughts, since last turn you killed one, could have consolidated towards the objective, the BAs would have made it in anyway.

The reason why is because he chose to fight with the daemon prince instead. Then the marines were not able to active. At least that's what I think. (Kind of a misplay in my opinion if its the case because the marines 100% kill the dread there)
