Season 4 by far has been The Best season of Danmachi. Watching Bell & Ryu survive The Juggernaut was one of the most intense moments in the series. Not to mention learning about Ryu's past. 👨🏻‍🦳🧝🏻‍♀️🙆🏿‍♂️🙆🏻‍♀️

S4 was so-so for me, sometimes it felt like the pacing was set to snail speed, sometimes it was ok. I don't have anything bad to say about the fights and a lot of the Bell & Ryu progression parts, but I found myself fast-forwarding a lot of Ryu's flashbacks of her old clan... A bunch of girls sitting in a fancy house and having abstract philosophical debates felt like a reality show I wouldn't bother to watch...

I didn't have much expecation since I've never heard about it, but every season was better than the last one, best one is s4 imo. For sure one of my fav anime so far, I hope it gets more attention among anime watchers. By the way, the sexualisation of some girls has imo 0 effect on how good the anime is (but it has some really funny moments tho), the connection between Ryuu and Bel (season 4) was the best part of the whole series, also how good the fight was with the mini boss at the end. I am happy that it's not another isekai

I think anime was great from the start, season 2 and 3 had better and worse parts but in general I enjoy it. Sword oratoria spin off is nice and Artemis movie made me cry. Idk why I only got to start watching season 4 now but quality wise it seems better than 3 and season 5 is coming out now so it's the best time.

​@@Bricen120 The anime has always skipped those in between arc novels. Usually incorporating their details loosely with the season. My guess is we will zoom through volume 16 and spend a moderate time on 17 then the meat and potatoes of volume 18. Which really sucks because all of these volumes have so much to them that is most likely gonna get skipped. Then volume 18 will basically become Dragon ball with multi episode fights, several fights at once that they will cut back and fourth from. And if they dont do it well then it could be a very annoying sequence.

I like this type of anime, it has been 7 years since I started watching this anime, and seeing the main char growing and being reliable it kinda feel like yourself in real life, a lot changed in my life in 7 years, from a kid a in their early 20’s and now entering my 30’s, you feel close to home with the Character. Life doesn’t stop, and you just have to keep fighting and going forward through adversity.

Of course this means we won't be getting Season 6 for about 5 to 10 years. Since from the OP credits we know this Season goes onto the end of Volume 18. 3 Volumes for one season. With only Volume 19 out and no sign of Volume 20 in site. So enjoy this last season of Danmachi. Unless the decide to do some of the Side stories. But since they messed up SO. I doubt it.

@@Randomguy-mx3po Looks like 15 with the last one being January 9th. Unless stuff happens to lengthen or shorten it or delays. Haven’t kept up with what Fujino Ōmori is working on. But with Wistoria season 2 being announced. Don’t know how much focus that will take away from the main Danmachi story line. Unless he’s doing Back to back volume release. Since he said Danmachi was going to be around 20 volumes long and less than a years time in world. The next Arc should be the final one, so he may take his time with it. Unless he’s changed his mind. I think we are around the 3/4 year mark by the end of volume 19. The end of season 4 (volume 15) was close to 6 months I think.

Season 5 has been pretty great so far. I know they've skipped a bit, way more than S4, but it has still played out very well. We've gone from cute slice of life episodes to a full on civil war. I have really enjoyed how it has all played out.

If I remember right: LN 17 onwards, which is season 5 of Danmachi, also goes over Aiz’s personal struggles a bit, which was set up at the end of Ln 16, which I believe, was right after Ryuu basically outs herself as a Bell stand. I didn’t get to read through all of LN 18, and presumably, they’re going into the school arc, so I’m kinda pumped for it, especially since I didn’t get to read all of it, and after the events of next season, it’s probably for the best. (Also because of that, I don’t remember/know if Bell ever had problem with the new arm, after LN 16c which would make sense, but it has been a bit, and I don’t remember :/ )

To be fair, Ais' backstory and character development happen almost exclusively in Sword Oratoria... And I think some of it comes from DanMemo too, but I haven't touched the metric ton of lore they dropped there so I'm not sure how much of hers comes from there. I think Sword Oratoria is 100% worth picking up for anyone interested in Danmachi, tbh. The vast majority of the world building in Danmachi is told in Sword Oratoria. For anyone interested specifically in Ais' backstory, you'd want to read volume 9 of SO. One could argue Sword Oratoria tells the story of the world of Danmachi (along with DanMemo, which you can find on youtube), while the Danmachi light novels and anime are laser focused on the hero that'll be essential to saving that world.
