There was supervised Recreation time and some classes were available. I hope Ruby learning some valuable lessons while locked up. The importance of the food you got to eat. Nope. She doesnt. It is far worse than that. I was raised very similarly to the way Ruby Franke was raising her kids. They dont expect their kids to be able to problem solve and rationalize like adults, although I could and did at a very early age because you have to learn really quickly when your safety is at stake, my parents relied on the very real fact that what they expected and demanded of us was unnatural and unfair. How else could they take out their frustrations and anger? Parents like this deliberately set their kids up for failure. What made it so much worse when we were kids is that it was only us adopted and fostered kids that copped it. The three biological sons got away with everything pretty much. It might sound awful but at least the Frankes abused their own kids, not someone elses. And yes, absolutely Kevin is as guilty as Ruby is.

The fact this judge LISTENED to a single word she said is beyond terrifying. A red flag! Because they had two different judges at first, they must've known this judge was softer (more Mormon) than the other one, and the court granted their request to pick him as the judge for both of them! I've never heard of getting to pick your judge! I've never heard of getting to opt out of jail with a 'medical emergency,' BOTH of them! People have DIED in jail, curled up in a ball vomiting! They never care! I fear special treatment is coming. If the church needs this story to die, it will die! Especially if this is a card carrying MORMON judge who is told to go easy on them. These two are master manipulators! They need a judge who can't be influenced by what's best for the church's reputation! People around here know their judges! The Mormon church controls so much, and if this judge is a Mormon, there's no telling what kind of influence that will have on him. Jodi has been the church leaders' go-to for when they need to send a vulnerable person for 'therapy.' (Indoctrination) Anything that makes the church look bad, around here in Utah, the members are in every profession, and every full member of the church takes an oath in the temple before their god, to always protect the church ahead of everything else. Including their own children. So if this judge is a full member of the church, that could be why Jodi requested to be moved to him instead of the judge she had. Maybe he was harsher and not a Mormon. I want to know! They also won't say who Jodi's representation is, if it's anything McConkie, then the church is representing her. The whole thing stinks. The fact DCFS 'apologized to Ruby for bothering her' 2 years ago when there was so much social pressure, they finally had to show up to check on the kids, is strange! The evidence was all over her KZbin! Since when do case workers apologize for bothering people? Never! Why did this judge punish Russell because of his mom's OBVIOUS to the rest of us, attempt to hurt him even more by blaming him for SA of 20 kids? Does he have no experience with liars, manipulators, creeps? If she was a man, would they judge have listened to him? Only if he was a fully paid, card carrying white member of the church!

This: The fact this judge LISTENED to a single word she said is beyond terrifying. But we still have the presumption of innocence in our laws. It has to be equally applied, no matter what. I hate it, I've lost friends to murder, my town was bombed by a terrorist, we all have PTSD, we who lived. I write a Victim Impact Statement OVER and over and over. My best friend was murdered in 1990! The pos was given the death penalty. And yet he's been up for possible release I've lost track of how many times. The Mormon church does not have the power of a cult like Scientology. I believe "LDS" is a cult. She had kids because she was taught they'll live with her on her planet she gets after death, right? So ... Why would the Mormon church support a child abuser? Utah confuses me. The people who refused to see the huge tragic fact of heroin addiction in SLC, hopefully they won't be on the jury, if there's no plea deal.

All of this is horrible but the pineapple juice story really upset me. Ruby expects a 3 and 5 year old to use cleaning chemicals to clean up sticky juice because, in summary of what she said, a paper towel is not enough. Before they even know how to read. I’m glad that kid didn’t try to do more than use a paper towel because they could have seriously hurt themselves or their sibling if they tried to use a cleaning product. Also, every kid is different, but most 6 year olds don’t have the maturity/attention span to remember to pack their lunch and bring it to school. And then to say that you hope the child goes hungry for eight hours. Horrible. Your child is not old enough to take on that responsibility, and you as the parent are responsible for that until they are capable of it. If you don’t want to deal with it, don’t have so many kids.

Also why are little boys and little girls being left alone in rooms together without supervision? I mean she claims all this sexual abuse occured. She was seemingly leaving these kids home alone a lot. Who knows what could have gone on. I'm not saying I believe her, hit if anything happened I think she is partially responsible. My dad would enevr allow boys and girls to sleep in the same room and he sure as hell wouldn't lock us in there together.

Children have a human right to privacy, a human right to autonomy, a human right to food and a place to sleep. They did not choose to be born. They did not choose to have shitty ass parents like this. If you aren't willing to allow your child to even exist you shouldnt have ever become a parent to begin with and you certainly shouldnt be a parent presently. I pray my son never feels even an iota of the shame and horror this mother put her kids through.

They're numb because they're desensitized to Ruby and her husband's insane abuse. They know anything and everything triggers their snowflake parents so it wouldn't matter if they behaved or not. And come on, toddlers don't knownthe exact proper way to clean all on their own. It's not like learning walk and talk where they develop in stages to do it, or an instinct like needing to eat and sleep. How absurd.

I'm not religious, and I have no problem with those that are, but people like Ruby Franke make me so agitated. Like, there's no reason to use religion to justify abuse. In fact, it's not a justification, because there will never be a justification to abuse your children. It makes me feel so nauseous to see people like her using their beliefs to harm others. Religion is not inherently bad, it never has been, but people like her make it look horrendous.

I think these kids are going to suffer so much more from psychological abuse. The physical will heal quickly. But I think they did a real number psychologically. The boy said he was in his condition at his own fault. So putting the pieces together from Adam's interview and Jesse's, then considering Ruby's accusations in court, I bet these evil women convinced the child he did what Ruby said. I grew up in a religion with similar structure as LDS. And it's already like mental gymnastics. You're taught to live in guilt. Add these extra elements, and I feel so bad for these kids

These channels need to stop. Monetizing of KZbin in my opinion added to the abuse as Ruby knew the more extreme she treated the kids, the more views she got, leading to more money. It’s also not fair for these kids to have all their personal lives out there . It’s such an easy fix but as with all things…Google isn’t going to stop it as they make too much money.those poor kids. Anyone is capable of this parental abuse. But they are using their “religous” beleifs as a guide to excuse themselves from seeing it as actual abuse. Taking advantage of and taking above and beyond their idea of parenting based on their own religious construct. Most people who abuse children dont have a structured reason to abuse their children. Where as this family does. And that construct has been taken so far off the plate as a means for abuse and means for acquittal for their own conscience. Because if they think thats their religous guidline for parenting, (which is its not by the bibles standards) then its A-ok. In their twisted heads.
