I served on the YTB 788, 803 and 811 in Navsta Roosevelt Roads PR back in the early 90s.

Great tour. Just an FYI - most of these tugs in the Navy had a crew of about 30-40% women. I worked on them at Pearl Harbor. We did have a crew of about 14 and we had two sep berthing areas down below with racks.

We all slept together. Wait, that's not what I meant. We had one big berthing area. Almost all of the women were not at all shy about changing right in front of the guys but nothing ever happened (on the boat).

That’s a really interesting video. You really got the full tour. I went on the ore boats in Duluth, Toledo and Cleveland. Their is so much they don’t let you see. I remember when dad was fleet chief and my brothers sailed or Interlake I crawled over them and got to see what the general public doesn’t get to see. I was really impressed you were to get on, in and around all the nooks and crannies.

I remember this company in the show Great Lakes warriors. Too bad it didn't make it passed a season or so. From what I remember, the owner gambled his savings to start up the company and had limited experience in the industry. Awesome story
