Your dogs say "Thanks mom! New chew toys woo hoo!" Looks like your braid worked out fine. Hard boards definitely feel different than foamies & I'm glad yours is working well for you! Seems like on faster / a little more powerful waves turning becomes a easier too. 60 degrees is still pretty warm. In colder water my ears start hurting so I found ear plugs made for water sports work great. We like to wade out & ride the inside waves too. On rare occasions I'll venture out back at gentle breaks like Doheny or San O. Glad you had a nice trip and session! Can't complain about those crowds LOL! Stay safe happy and well!

Thanks, I’m glad the board worked out as well! The dogs love to be included in anything I’m doing :) No crowds is why surfing and swimming in winter is best! :)

Brave for not wearing a hood or gloves! I cannot go without them when it's cold out haha.

I should have just for the wind alone. The water felt like bath water.
