"Some say he puts both feet into his trousers (& pants!) at the same time...."....I found the price of white boards pretty expensive so painted a wall white and stuck 3x (3 by 7+ ft) transparent acrylic sheets (@ £25 each in the UK), the only issue is it becomes quite appealing for the whole family to scribble and leave messages... Love the channel, wonderful videos : )

Whats the canvas flip command 🤔 also thanks for the video its super interesting to see the process an get new ideas on how to make these things
Marco Bucci when I use digital apps too much, I rely on the undo button to erase. In real life I don’t have and undo button and so when I draw traditionally, I wait for my brain to erase the mistake I just made on paper! ITS SUCH A HABIT! :’) Could you make a video on digital animation shading on FlipaClip? Maybe you can test it as a review in your opinion.

I don't see any advantage to working with a whiteboard for sketching rather than a graphics tablet, only disadvantages and loss of time, especially when you have a tablet with screen. Use the photoshop lasso to rotate or resize a part of the sketch, be able to manage the thickness and the opacity of the line, use the symmetry tool, easily manage the volume with the shading by simply adding a layer underneath, no felt-tip pen that runs out and that you have to replace, be able to use this sketch for the real realization by rotoscoping

wait wait.. hold your dragonhorses. you are the one who tell the world that grayscale to color painting process is a no no. and now this. anybody? P.S. sorry, just mind i'm a lowly Intern that ask stupid question (but yea, i really mean it lol) *Update* Bucci's answer of this specific question from discord channel: "If I were actually designing that dragon for my own project, I would've gone STRAIGHT TO COLOR. I showed it this way in my video though because it's BETTER FOR TRAINING, IMO." (so to conclude, this tutorial is just made for lowly Interns, like you and me lol)
@jas_bataille3 жыл бұрын
I know this was a year ago but, some top pros use the grayscale-to-color process all the time. There is nothing wrong with it. If you draw for comics or any other printed project, having a grayscale version is *very* handy (although you could convert your colors directly to grayscale it's not the same for printing black and white). A good tip is to lay down your flat colors and they swap out the greyscale shading for your choice of colors. There are several reasons why you might want to do this, mostly because of artistic directors who are real picky about colors and will make you revise the colors like 10 times. Is it the best process for coloring? Probably not, although I saw gorgeous results this way with lots of nuances. Is it practical? You can bet it is. That's why it's popular : unless you're a pro colorist or make a final illustration, if you know that you're gonna swap around the color-schemes, use gray-scale first because then you're shading can stay the same for any color. It's not used for artistic reasons, but for speed and iterative processes.
