Well Thor, as a gentleman below says, I have never liked fuzz, I have never knowingly owned a fuzz pedal and in this lifetime I have never had the desire to own one. Now I need a fuzz! Great playing Thor and a truly wicked sound! It has a clarity that makes it stand out. Just when I thought I was happy with my gear.......🤔 Great version of Watchtower and you have "that" sound!

Thank you Brian 😊I must admit I haven't been able to make good use of a fuzz pedal in a band setting. I will bring this one along to a rehearsal to see if it has some different harmonies that might work better for me in such a context. Playing it at home, I can dial in a pretty inspiring tone. I will typically set it to just before it gets too spitty and where it maintains a bit of the clarity from the notes played. It's good fun when the pedal is dialled in just to the right amount of fuzz and when it can be made to clear up with the volume knob on the guitar. Cheers!

We could see you really enjoyed playing it! 😁 it did sound great backed off a bit but it got you fairly animated! Good luck in a band context my friend.

That was a real treat Thor! I guess it's a germanium fuzz face or tone bender type circuit.

I just checked, it's silicon! It sounds quite dark like an old germanium. Great playing!

@@50Something Thank you. Yes I would guess that this is something you'd find to your liking Christopher. Didn't you tell me once that you had some fuzz pedals that you'd made yourself?

@@GUITARSGIZMOS Oh yes Thor, I have a box full of them under the stairs from when I moved 3 years ago. One of these days I'm going to dig them out and plug them in.

Your playing was on fire and I expected your guitar as well in the end….😉…. I enjoyed the Hendrix touch and that fuzz indeed remained me of those bygone tones….as some others here I don’t understand fuzz pedals…. But maybe the trick is to crank the amp? How loud was your Dumble clone?
@GUITARSGIZMOS9 ай бұрын
Thanks Marcello 😊 The amp was not really loud, and you can get an impression of how I dialled it in from the tones at the start of the video. I think what could be a thing to try if you struggle with finding the sweet spot on a fuzz is to dial the volume on the guitar slightly down. Just from 10 to 9. And I tend to prefer the tones on a fuzz when I run it into an low gain overdrive (like the Sweet Honey). Thanks for watching and dropping a line. Much appreciated 😊

That looks like Matthew Scott’s fender that is wild

Wouldve been moce to hear some pick attacks on the electric. Using your fingers only fattens up the sound so using a pick wouldve been the ultimate demo of that pedal.

I’ve always said that I don’t like Fuzz...... Well, I won’t be saying that anymore....
