I’ll just say this. The guy in the video was in charge of narrative design which basically means being in charge of designing in game action and levels directly related to the game’s story. So for this game they’d probably be in charge of designing the puzzles, action set pieces, and level traversal, that’s it. They’re not writing the story, directing the overall game, or even producing it. They just have a minor role and got chosen by the advertising team to show how diverse and inclusive the team behind the game is.

Did you have the talkie version? I had the version with all the floppy disks waiting to be switched. If you loved the music, look for the Fate of Atlantis symphonic score in my playlists, I worked on it for more than a year!

I respect the Nerdrotic panel's openmindedness, which is typically absent from the woke "cancel pigs". What would be nice is if games let you pick from several options for your protagonist's sidekick, or just make one from scratch with what appearance you like. In the beginning of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indy's sidekick (albeit for only a few minutes) is a guy named Satipo ("Throw me the idol, I'll throw you the whip!"), then he meets up with Marion (and while she is captured and thought to be dead) after reaching Egypt, he works with Sallah. In Last Crusade, it was Brody, Elsa and Sallah. Devs need to let players [play the game the way they want to. Some people might like a Holmes/Watson dynamic, while others might like the Indy/Elsa combo. Regardless of player's gender or preference, offer a variety (or made from scratch) companions so everyone is happy. What's the big deal?

I had no dad and a feminist whore of a mother, but I had Luke Han and Leia to look up to and teach me I should do the right thing no matter what, protect those who can’t, etc. I haven’t watched any of the new stuff since walking out of TFA and realising something was wrong. It’s amazing to see an entire genre hijacked and destroyed, whilst targeted hate is spewed at its core audience. A core audience made up largely of kids who got picked on in some way and found comfort in fantasy.

I think the one dude is confused as to why Bethesda DEVELOPED games are buggy. It’s because they use the old ass Creation engine and games like Fallout and Skyrim are massive open world games. This game is PUBLISHED by Bethesda and developed by Machine Games and doesn’t use the creation engine. Doesn’t mean it can’t be buggy but there is a difference.
