Also part of these Simple 2000 games was the first Earth Defense Force, a phenomenal franchise. Also also, it's really interesting that even back then, devs seem reluctant to call things by their proper names, like they refer to the woman as "Creature" and never a giant woman. In the EDF series, they NEVER call the Ants "Ants" or the Pillbugs "Pillbugs". They are called "Monsters" or "Species-Gamma" or something, and they never once use the name of an insect. They also refer to these bipedal frogs as "Humanoids" despite having much MORE humanoid grey-style aliens later in the game. How strange.
