I think out of the 8 character perspectives, daenerys herself is not as interesting as Arya or Tyrion, at least, not in the first book. However, her chapters are really cool.

I started this a year ago when I was 13 and after a while my mom forced me to stop because it's "too sexual and too dark for your age." I picked it up again a few weeks ago and I'm absolutely obsess with the series. I can't stop reading it and my mom and my teachers literally have to yell at me to get my nose out of the book. I can't remember reading a book that attract me this much since Lord of the Rings.

thanks for coming by! To answer your question, I didn't have trouble remembering when I read the books because whenever a character was introduced, I'd immediately look them up in the index at the back of the book. I was SUPER confused with the TV show at first though, because they introduce so many characters at once. That's why reading the book really helps! (:

I am also kind of confused with the book but this has stretched my mind and I now know what is going on. Also, I am too young for this series (I'm 12) but I really love it. I think if your mature enough to read the books and get whats going on you're okay to watch the tv series becuase the books are not by any means easy books to read and it does take a certain amount of intellectual ability especially for someone under the age of 15 to read , but I'm not your parent your parents are so I'd ask permission. I started reading the books when I was 10 back in 2008 and started watching the show at about 13 years old when it came out in 2011 and I could handle it fine. I didn't ask my parents but in hindsight I probably should have

So obsessed with this series, I fell in love with the TV show then read the books 1 - 4 in about 2 months, Arya & Jon Snow are my fave characters although there's many others I love to. I've been very lucky to meet some of the cast and they're just as awesome as their characters and have a lot of love for the show, I really can't wait to see the stuff they filmed beyond the wall as it's my fave aspect of the series and partly because I was actually in Iceland when they were filming there!

I found it really easy to read, but then again I'm not bothered at all by small print. If you think it may be an issue, go with the regular books. I just got this one because it's easier to carry around. Bigger print/more spacing is always easier on the eyes. (:

One of my friends came across the books, like 6 months ago, because she's a total Sean Bean fan and he starrs in the series and first I thought it was some kind of historical series which made me very reluctant to watch it, but then she told me it's fantasy and we watched the first series in two days with some other friends and I completely fell in love with it :D Daenerys is the best!

I love the show and the series, I'm super excited for the next episodes... My favourite character in the series is Dany but I didn't like her as much while reading the books, especially the later ones. My favourites in the books are definitely Bran, Jon and the Martells (those are some awesome people IMO!).
