I saw my cat grab a chipmunk so I ran to save it. When I grabbed the cat, by the scruff, he released the chipmunk which immediately ran up my pant leg. I had a cat in one hand and my other hand was on the back of my leg where I stopped it from going any higher. Husband finally heard me yelling and came out to pull my pants down so I could release the chippy. We now have several bob tailed chipmunks running around.

Great video about the hats and pins. Also LOVED the chipmunk chase, lol. Years ago we caught two in VA and brought home to FL. Mom's 1959 World Book said "can easily be trained as pets". NOT THE CASE!! They terrorized our house and couldn't be contained in Habitrail plastic cage system. We were always looking under and behind things for them. Took them "home" next trip to VA (That's the short version, lol)

When I toured Austria, I was told that you could tell the quality of the hat by the number of “x”s on the tag. “XXX” = 30% beaver pelt. More “X”s means better waterproofing. 👍👍

If you remove the down spouts and hang a rain chain at each downspout hole and let them drip into flower pots full of stones (with a drain hole in the bottom) leaving the chain too short to reach the flower pot by a few feet, you would reduce your chipmunks in the rain spout problem. They would have to figure out how to jump up to the chain and climb it to the gutter. If it's too far to jump, they'll go somewhere else for their fun.

I had the same thing happening with the chipmunks. They can climb all the way up. Might be making a nest if they can get into your crawl space under the roof. I used a trap in front and ended up catching 14 over a 2 week span. Released them a few miles away.

I bought some signed old lobby cards years ago (over 15) in Nevada at a huge thrift store. (I'm talking 'nowhere Nevada, Pahrump!) I sold them on eBay not claiming they were original, more for nostalgia or as decorative pieces. One buyer sent me the one she bought back to me, folded in half with a note saying she was the person in the pic and it wasn't her signature! This was back in the day when people paid with checks, money orders, even Western Union and eBay didn't protect the seller back then. Luckily I didn't pay much for it so I just wrote it off... I don't buy anything 'autographed' for re-sale anymore!
