If there's one thing I've learned from the staff videos like Tech Upgrade and Cable Doctor, it's that the average LMGer is _sassy_ 🤣 Sometimes it's bold and charismatic, sometimes subdued and understated, occasionally we just see it peeking out from behind a shy and self-effacing demeanour, but pretty much every staffer has dropped some gem of unscripted comedic repartee, a scalpel-sharp comeback (usually at Linus' expense), or an unexpected nugget of surreal wisdom. It's honestly my favourite thing about this channel, and speaks volumes of the company culture and close-knit diversity of personalities at play.

This is what makes being a good leader so challenging, and often draining. Sure, Linus is a great actor, but more importantly, he is an excellent boss and leader. I've learned a lot from Linus, and not only about electronics! I think this is the primary reason he has grown so big, he has allowed his entire team to feel comfortable being themselves, and now most of his team is comfortable being on camera for millions to see.

Hey, fellow tall cyclist here, for anyone else struggle to find a good bike large enough: Build a custom bike! Same logic as why custom computers are better than prebuilds. You get exactly what you want, for way less, and you learn how it all works! Finding "prebuilt" bikes in a size large enough is absolutely impossible, but it's totally doable to find XXL frames direct from Chinese carbon fibre factories!
@spacedoritos28 күн бұрын
Never thought of that. What would be the price difference be at pre build vs custom approximately?
@rri81128 күн бұрын
@@spacedoritos Not a tall guy here myself, but I got a friend who is vertically capable. He rides one of the Canyon Hardtails in XL size, they do carbon as well. Word of advice if you go the Chinese frames, please please do proper research, as not all are created equal and they do not have proper warranty as the bigger brands. I have an Airwolf hardtail i built for my missus, and it seems built well (she is at the other end of the spectrum, well, Linus size). I wouldn't trust it with my style of riding. A titanium custom frame would be ideal for your use, but i think they may get a bit dear, but they align with your way, getting the best out there. Pre-built vs custom, you cannot really match the value of a prebuilt, but what you can, is beat it in quality. Based on my own custom full suspension Enduro style bike i built around a Trek Remedy frame, i would say about 20-30% more expensive, but for better parts. The pre-built way saves money by using their own brand saddle, bars, grips and pedals most of the time, possibly even the dropper post. Love the simplicity of your setup, reminds me of my pre-married and pre-kids life. Cheers

The look on Linus' face when he found out he was with a new PC builder made me smile. I recognize that feeling. There's something special about helping people with their first builds. Also, the Labs website would benefit greatly from filters for things like (for psus, which is the part of the website that got my attention in this video) wattage, modularity, perhaps efficiency rating and pass/fail status? Model year? Right now it's either search for something directly or browse in the order they were posted, with little information presented before the click-through to the review pages (which I find excellent, by the way). The site feels less than ideal to navigate unless you know exactly what you're looking for already, which feels like a disservice to a valuable resource.

2:53 I legit don't see any issue with this. Society tells us we need to buy a bunch of crap but the reality is, is that stuff doesn't necessarily make you happy. If homie has stuff he would rather save for or spend money on such as like retiring 10 years earlier than all his friends then go for it...

To me it seems horribly depressing and boring to live in such an empty space. However, everyone is different, so do whatever makes you happy or seems a worthwile trade-off to you, even if others (like me) can't imagine anyone being happy to live that way. 🤷

They learnt not to judge a book by it's cover. a jock, a nerd, a loner - in high school these labels can feel so defining but they all learnt they can find common ground, and that they aren't defined by this label. Everyone has more going on than what you see on the surface and for the demographic, this is an important lesson.

Nobody learned anything. Not even the teacher and there was a perfect setup for him to learn that the youth isn't as lost as he thought. But nope.
