So sad, ironically this could have been the life of my friend with the exception of the ending which he sat on the hospital bed holding her and she slipped away, he kept talking despite knowing she was gone. He was at the time 23 years old and she was a year younger, they had been together since they were children and started their relationship with a big kiss on her 13th birthday.

He kept a photo of her and his partner accepted that he could never forget so they both embrace the feeling of loss on her birthday and think of her. Me, well I did the military bit for several years, Did my job when the time came and did it well, left and got married, she passed many, many years ago, started again, three kids, toxic partner, twenty five years later i'm now single in my own place and although i'm not complete i'm reasonably happy despite being disabled, I have good people living by me and life may not be a bowl of cheries but it's certainly not a bad one. This movie is Sweet November (2001). This is a remake of the 1968 film of the same name that starred Sandy Dennis and Anthony Newley. According to open sources, this story was initially conceived as a stage play by Herman Raucher. But after being cajoled by Hollywood, he turned it into a screenplay instead. Raucher, currently in his 90s, was a relatively prolific writer of screenplays and novels throughout the 1960s and 70s. Some of his well-known works are, Follow That Dream (1962), Watermelon Man (1970), and Ode to Billy Joe (1976). And my personal favorite is Summer of 42 (1971) and its sequel, Class of 44 (1973). All of these stories were adapted for the screen, and the last two I saw in the movie theater. And despite being a little kid, I was touched by both films' melancholy and bittersweet tone. (⊙‿⊙✿)

Hmmmm… was this a life changing part for Keanu. Recognizing life is short and experiencing it in a way that impacts those you touch. Losing loved ones is the toughest experience to go through. It’s been 5 years and I’m still grieving but I find that giving the best of me to others is my form of handling the loss. 💕

So she used those men got them to fall in love with her lose their lives and br left heartbroken. That's for her own assument I know she's sick and trying to help them but that's cruel. And if they remade it and a man did it to women it would be called cruel.

I saw the movie long ago & what I remember was that she saw a workaholic guy and asked for a month. In that month they were together to get all the stress out. They didn't have to fall in love, she asked only for a month so they wouldn't get attached sentimentally & they didn't got heartbroken when she pass on. The fact of someone falling in love wasn't on her ideas
@Tearsofsoil3 ай бұрын
I agree . Actually this movie is sick. She is very self centered. She wants to help, she will force things to help and when she wants to leave she will leave no matter what. Opinion and feelings of man was treated like a bad broken child whom the motherly love of this woman will fix. But at no stage i saw her treating his wishes to let him stay with her even at her last moments honoured. She gets inside life of someone on her accord and moved out of her accord. Feelings and wishes of other never mattered from the start. A big red flag

I changed number but I met him again. After few weeks of talking he said we should marry since he knew me for "years". He doesn't take a no as answer But on the other hand at work, there was this guy who kept insisting on helping me to pay for lunch, even paid me back with food once he knew I didn't ate that day. Completely me the bus money one day but he never made a thing to even try to get anything from that Now tell me both were pervs?

This film encompasses everything I hate about love stories. She is the stereotypical manic pixie dream girl whose job is to fix a career driven man. So foreseeable. "The Manic Pixie Dream Girl (MPDG) is a character trope often seen in fiction. She’s a quirky, effervescent woman who exists primarily to teach brooding male protagonists how to embrace life and its infinite mysteries. Picture someone stunningly attractive, energetic, and full of wacky quirks-like childlike playfulness or wild hair dye. The MPDG’s sole purpose is to open the hero’s heart to adventure and love, often aiding in his transformation without showing much agency of her own".
