As soon as I heard that you guys were going to be facing a RTX tournament winners, I knew that this would have been an outcome. The fact that these were also established teams, and not a set of 5 randoms, also put another nail in the coffin. Sorry guys, when you have players that have put in hundreds, if not thousands, of hours, it is hard to match that kind of experience. AH would have to be playing siege 8 hours at work, and then go home to play more, just to COMPETE with the veterans. But that isn't entertainment, at least, for some. So don't worry AH. If you guys WANT to work your way up to diamond, I'll try to support where I can. But I enjoy the silliness and laughter that you guys give. I wouldn't want to exchange that for serious siege. You guys and gals at AH give a lot of joy and happiness to SO many people, so brush away the loss and enjoy what you do. Thank you for the smiles and belly laughs. :-)

To be honest, the competitive aspect of this whole series never sold for me. To me, the main reason why I wanted AH to keep up Siege Let's Plays was because they had an entire squad synergy, with comedy. The fact that they're all in the same room, goofing off and making dumb jokes are some of the moments most squads go through when they queue in Siege. When I squad with my friends we have those moments too. And we tend to love them more often then our competitive fights. Not to say that I don't love competitive gameplay, because that is fun to watch as well, I mean it's mainly just the matter that I never watched an AH FPS multiplayer because I wanted AH to dominate in a serious way. I just liked the idea of six dudes having fun however they can. That's my piece anyways.

A few things: 1) Alfredo had NOTHING to do with his community members showing up. He was SHOCKED when he saw them. Alfredo had 50 other things to do before getting a chance to look into the tournament. Last-minute disqualification would, in my opinion, make AH look bad as people would assume they are discriminating against a group of people (particularly Sorry Vol since they have a female player and what appears to be a trans woman). Also, they said they will play the winner, and to disqualify the winners would make the winners feel like they tried for nothing. 2) AH abandoned their training. Alfredo did everything he can in a time crunch and they abandoned it. AH got tilted early and never left it. Plus, alcohol did not help their situation. I know a double shot screwdriver may do little to Michael, but almost all competitive players do not drink alcohol night before or day of in order to maintain their twitch (short and quick) reactions. 3) Sorry Vol team probably realized that the crowd was thinning out and tried to retain people by making meme plays. It was a bad call on their end, but they tried to become AH for a bit to see if people will stay. If anything, they should have kept playing like normal so it could people can say they played their best all the way through the game. Less demoralizing. 4) Everyone can improve on something in the end. AH just needs more time and more practice, and the Sorry Vol could have not done the meme plays. All in all, it is a learning moment for everyone, and if everyone wants to improve they have to put in more effort. Personally, I think AH abandoned the idea of competitive play since it was a public demoralization; however, I do want them to try harder and improve, if not rainbow six: siege then in League of Legends, Apex Legends, Overwatch, PUBG, Super Smash Bros., etc. Just make sure to have more time to practice and improve. I apologize for the large rant. These are just some of the observations made and some opinions of mine.
@lolscotton5 жыл бұрын
LtPeppermint vol didn’t consider the thinning crowd at all (people were leaving bc the off topic line was filling up as they were playing), the “memes” were them not wanting to 5-0 twice, and aside from being completely passive and standing around, what else can you do yknow

As simple as this. There are two gaming communities. One watches to see people be the best there is. One watching because they love the people they're watching. While this is a series for the former, to see some people who aren't so good try to train to get better, it's not great for people who like Achievement Hunter. There's no payoff at the end. After all the hard work and effort we saw, all the training, they stood no chance. It was all for nothing in the end. That's called a disappointment. A letdown. And it's probably going to keep them from trying something like this in the future.

I was genuinely hoping this would become more than it was... Since it was sponsored content, I was hoping they'd be able to allocate more time to "Git Gud" at Siege, and really see proper growth rather than "We just didn't have enough time". I get it, I really do, it just sucks because I feel like we haven't even reached a quarter of the finish line and this is the end. There was no progress, no lesson, strategies for ops and maps, breakdown of pro play (other than Alfredo sitting in a room on his own to relay what he watched rather than everyone watching with him), nothing to *teach* AH anything I enjoyed the first Omen doc because you had an idea of how much effort Alfredo put into it to get where he was, and the extra effort he put in to coordinate with others to get to where he needed to be. He made it to Diamond, which is great, but even if he didn't, we at least understood how hard fought it was to try and get there. I get none of that here. They basically played 20+ games of Siege like usual, with only a sprinkle of extra effort towards playing ops and coordinating a smidgen more in games. Like, I'd be more content with the series if they even watched *one* video of either pro play or one session of Alfredo going through a map and explaining the best way to infiltrate bomb sites with various ops. Instead, it was just montage clips of AH being lesser than they were during their actual Git Gud series
