From an extended contact hypothesis (ECH) framework, mass-media portrayals of interracial relationships may encourage positive attitudes toward such relationships. Caucasian participants (N = 218) indicated examples of media portrayals of Black-White interracial relationships, attitudes toward Blacks, attitudes toward interracial relationships, degree of identification with Whites, and the degree to which Blacks are included in self-representations. Supporting our hypotheses, extended contact with Black-White relationships via media portrayals was associated with more positive attitudes toward Blacks and interracial relationships. These relationships were mediated by the degree to which Blacks are included in self-representations. This study furthers understanding of ECH by including representations of dyadic relationships and suggests an avenue for the creation of interventions for improving attitudes toward interracial relationships.

@mike naples G'day from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 👋 Morgan owns his own jazz club that keeps him busy whenever he gets a break from film productions. It's great seeing him in this movie as he's aging well and able to remember his scripts while Jack Nicholson can't remember his lines from scripts anymore. This film I'm going to be bringing a box of tissues. Looking forward to March 2023 whenever it's released. Cheers🌼

This looks incredible ❤ Love Florence, as always. Haven't seen a movie in theaters in probably a decade, since I was in middle school. But a few years ago, when I was 21, I was t-boned by a negligent driver and now have permanent brain damage. I fell into abusing drugs because the physical and mental pain of losing everything in my life I had fought so hard for was so overwhelming. I struggle with anger towards the driver who never took any accountability. I think this would be a cathartic and beautiful story to see. I can feel myself as a mix of these two characters - the grief I feel for my past life, where I had my dream job, my dream apartment, I could drive, do laundry by myself, etc. But also plagued by guilt and self loathing for my addiction. I'll have to write myself a reminder to go see this lol. Also a small note, Molly Shannon's father killed her own sister, mother and cousin in a drunk driving accident while she was also in the car. I imagine this must have been a very difficult movie to film. I trust that the story is delicately written and respectfully portrayed if she is a part of it.

I know I am a stranger on the internet, but I felt compelled to ask you if you have ever considered writing a book, about your story or inspired by your story? Or even a short story? I really don’t want to sound insensitive, you do not have to answer this comment at all. I recently decided in my life that if I see something good in someone, whatever it may be, I want to tell them instead of saying nothing. I just think you write beautifully and sharing your truth is powerful really. I am truly sorry for what you have been through and I hope you have found or do find peace in your life. Sending you love ❤️

"She said she was 18" implies that this film contains SA of a minor. I'm just saying, it's definitely a pattern of films normalizing SA of a minor. I like Zach Braff, who admittedly beat the ever loving crap out of a minor on the TV show 'Punk'd'. (For real he did). My issue is with the normalization of what I just wrote. It conditions the mind. How many parents accept and expect their daughters to date men over 18 while underage? More than is acceptable, and a big part of it is the normalization and conditioning. These parents are so brainwashed that I've seen some get excited, as they live vicariously through their children...in disgusting ways.

Trust in Jesus, Hell is real and eternal! This is what the Bible says about it.. "The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Matthew 13: 41-42 Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven "I am the way, the truth, and the life no one comes to the father but by me." John 14:6 Ask God to reveal this to you- He will! "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23 ADMIT THAT YOU'RE A SINNER. We've all broken God's laws and ten commandments.. "Thou shalt not lie, steal, covet, dishonor parents, take God's name in vain.."(Exodus 20) We do not have righteousness on our own to get to heaven, "God made him (Jesus) who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." 2 Cor. 5:21 Godly sorrow leads to genuine repentance for sinning against the righteous God and there is a change of heart, we change our mind and God changes our hearts and regenerates us from the inside out. "But God commended His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR YOUR SINS, WAS BURIED, AND THAT GOD RAISED JESUS FROM THE DEAD. This is trusting with all of your heart that Jesus Christ is who he said he was. He saves us from sin and hell and brings us into a relationship with him. We become God's children. "For whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13 CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD. Every single person who ever lived since Adam will bend their knee and confess with their mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings. Read the Bible, Walk with the Lord and give your life to Him

Thanks Zach Braff for this trailer. Can‘t wait to see the movie (hope it comes out in theatres). It might sound cheesy, but I saw garden state when I was working at my local cinema at the summer outdoor screening. It was raining a little, so there were only two or three people for 600 seats. I could watch the while movie. I was 18 and the movie made me laugh and cry right where and when I needed it to. It gave me hope for a tough time. It did what belle&sebastian did in musical terms at the time. So really looking forward to this!

This movie has taken it over the top. So perfectly balanced the movie "The Magic of Belle Isle" was, this movie is flipping way over. This is milked too much and two brilliant players like Morgan Freeman and Florence Pugh cannot make it right by their good play. ....This comment has spoilers.... do not read on when you still want to see the movie. The simple story of a junkie getting well again was just put on steroids. That is all. The balance is gone. Hollywood thinks bigger, stronger, deeper, higher, more contrast will make the movie work. You cannot just take the low deeper and still recover to a Disney high. Maybe if the movie did not end in a Disney way, it would have at least be more believable. What is the matter with Hollywood. They lost their touch completely so it seems.

"its make-over monday..no its friday" ok...watching her act makes me sad...I want to just put her helmet back on and help her onto the short bus....since when is acting like you're "slow" passed for deep thought?

I like Florence Pugh. Just too bad I will always associate her with Midsommar, the first movie I saw her in. I wish I could erase all memories from that movie. It wasn't scary or disturbing, just stupid and disgusting.

Isn't it interesting how lately Hollywood has come to put little props for Vietnam War vets into their movies? As someone who was born in 1960, I well remember seeing the movies of the early '70s which essentially spit (substitute an 'h' for the 'p' if you like) on these same men. Isn't it all so heartwarming?

Maybe it's Covid brain, but I don't get it - who died? The woman? Then who is Florence Pugh? If the woman was Florence's future sister- in-law, then the black guy is Florence's brother? I'm confused. Going back to bed. Oh, I'm already in bed.

Florence Pugh was engaged to the black guy and was driving with his sister. Florence got in a car accident, killing her fiancée’s sister and leading him to break up with her. Morgan Freeman is the fiancée’s (and the dead woman’s) dad.

This movie wrecked me! It’s so painful to see people caught in such awful circumstances and the network of people it affects. Damn you Zac! You used to make me laugh. Everyone has that one show that no one else gets. Scrubs is mine. ❤

Another self pity crappy movie about the same old life issues we have seen a thousand times before. Same book just a different cover. When will Hollywood get real writers.
