I think I like the look of the vanspeed capsules better as well. The lines look great. Great tip on the cutting around the corners with the jigsaw. I think I like how there's hardware as well as glue. Great video as always.

Shaun. Did you have any issues with the flarespace awning window leaking or fitment on Driver side? I purchased from Vanspeed locally and have mot installed yet. Vanspeed says CRL 10x33 awning window won't fit? Researching Flarespace windows are made by Premiere windows.

Just got mine! Do you need to use urethane/primer for the CRL bunk windows when installing on the capsules?

What kind of urethane primer do you recommend? Realizing there are more options than guidance. Installing these in a few days in PDX! 🎉😅

I’m pretty sure they will supply you with some urethane. I believe it’s from crlaurence. 3m Window weld is a good option as well and can be sourced from many automotive stores.

@Andrew Thorsvik I haven’t tried but I would probably go with what Vanspeed tells you. If you want to risk it, it may be worth looking up what Mercedes changed between the NCV3 sprinters and the VS30 sprinters in regards to the body

I have ncv3 too. I have purchased from VS local but not installed yet. I test fit with them, and the website now says otherwise .

Hey Shaun! Any issues with water intrusion? A buddy of mine installed these capsules and has had some water issues around the fasteners. Any tips/tricks you have would be much appreciated as I'll be doing this in PDX later this month! :)

I would recommend putting the bead of urethane more towards the middle of the flange rather than the inside edge. Depending on your cut , the inside edge may not have contact with the van wall all the way around. It’s better to have urethan ooze to the outside than to not have a good seal. Mineral Spirits if good for cleaning up urethane that oozes to the outside of the van.

@Carl Gibbs I use Noico Red stick on foam squares then I adhere marathon fabric with 3m 77 spray adhesive.

Are you talking about the metal? It’s 80/20 aluminum extrusion and carriage bolts through holes in the van.
