i bought a residential ztr years back from home depot, before starting a company. the engine went down a couple months in, and it was under warranty, but it had to be taken to the store, then shipped to the local dealer/shop (weingartz) to get fixed by "home depot". It took a month, and like I said, I wasn't running a business then. Now if one of my machines goes down, my dealer gives me a replacement so I have zero down time and can stay on track while its getting worked on. Brian, I know you know this all already as we use the same dealer, but for those considering this option for business, I strongly recommend a dealer.

I’m just a home owner that cuts a few laws for our local neighbors. Always bought from my local saw shop solely because of service. I’ll gladly pay a little extra on new equipment because of service down the road. Never been charged for simple fixes and never have to wait for sharpening. I love Augusta Ga.

I about fell over when I saw my local price. Not sure who would buy one to be honest. I will buy a known brand with dealer support hands down. I would recommend someone starting out to get to know a dealer and look into their used equipment as starter equipment if they cannot afford new.

Took my Wright to dealer on Friday afternoon. Was fixed and ready Saturday morning. Local dealer is motivated to keep ur business. A Dewalt contractor will put there products first in line in the shop.

The dewalt is $9500, if you compare it to a scag vr2 with the same engine the scag is $9875. But I would look at it this way if you buy the dewalt you are buying a machine that is not proven itself yet with a deck that can not compare to the velocity plus deck and it’s support can’t compare either. So if I was going to have the choice to buy the dewalt or scag I would buy the scag anyday of the week because the scag vrides has proven themselves for over 10 years. But that’s just my opinion.

Support only goes as far as the dealer. And my nearest Scag dealer sucks. Didn't give me the time of day when I went to purchase a new mower. As much as I would love a Scag, I'll never own one unless another dealer pops up somewhat close. Best dealers around me are exmark, Cub commercial, Bad boy, and Bobcat, (White not green)

Great videos bud. I no longer mow commercially, but when I did I ran a exmark and absolutely loved it. But if I was to spend that kind of money I would much rather support a smaller local dealer. Also I am a machine mechanic and MTD made products are definitely not my first choice. Now I don’t have any experience with there commercial equipment such as this and the cub cadet, but feel that that kind of coin would be better put toward a better known brand. Time will tell, maybe they upped their quality. 👍

The new cub cadet pro z line is pretty awesome. But I run a 48" deck commercially. And went with a exmark radius. It's nice but wasn't my first choice.

I have been in the business for 25 years. It makes nice lines however I've always used exmark for a couple grand cheaper and never had any problems with getting it serviced so it would take a lot for me to change.

i just got the cub cadet prox654 stander for $7,500. So far so good! I think Dewalt needs to be around the 6k price like the right stander B. If that means change the hydros,non efi ect. thats what they got to do. 6k or so and home depot always has the O% for 24 months. They would kill it with the people just starting out.

From what I understand this dewalt is basically the cub cadet prox but they make it for dewalt to be sold thru homo depot. But how do you honestly like your cub cadet so far? I used to have one before I got the exmark I’m on now

As a lawn landscaping business owner for forty years I will not ever buy a mower from a box store and that goes for any brand. I’m 100% Exmark man and will buy from dealer only. I don’t have time to search for parts or warranty all over the world. My Dealer has everything I need at a moment’s notice!

A stander B is a bare bones 🦴 stander intended for very rare part time stuff like a couple 2-3 days a week not normal mowing and they claim they been grinding texting and designing this thing using landscapers for a couple years daily so it’s a fair amount of machine above a stander B in comparison

It's priced pretty much the same as other better known commercial mowers here, personally I'd stick to my Exmarks and Gravelys just because with the dealers here if my machines go down they are usually able to get them fixed within a day as long as no crazy parts need to be ordered

I say this cause of Cub and DeWalt similarities. We have a Cub Cadet dealer here locally, been here for years. Everyone that has a Cub Cadet that goes into the commercial business usually ends up with something else in about a year. Now homeowners and part timers, that's a different story, they'll usually keep them a bit longer. They need to price them accordingly I guess.

If the price wasn't so high I would get it but when I have a local dealer with a exmark walk behind for 6 grand it's hard to beat. I e tried several different brand standers and I dont like them just cuz of the handles. Maybe cuz I only demo them a few hrs at a time. Plus my exmark turf tracer can go places that one cant.

I feel like for Dewalt and Cub Cadet to sell commercial stand on units they need to be priced similar to Bradley mowers. I doubt very many professionals are going to pick them over Scag or Exmark at that price point.

Hands down by far if you're cutting commercially you better buy scaggs or lexmark from a local dealer for support or you'll pay for it in the long run when you're trying to get service yes dewalt makes good saws but they might want to stick with that this mower is basically a cubcaddet no more no less .

No way in hell would I buy a DeWalt from HD for 10k when I could go to my dealer and get a Toro/Exmark/Scag. Tried and true, proven. Stands the test of time. Plus, parts availability is the biggest factor for us.

Agree 100%. Mower looks like it's designed well but, gas tank is a disappointment. I think it will do well in sales as ppl. are brand loyal to HD & Dewalt. Remember either we mowin grass or drivin fast, Dirty Jersey out!! #broinlawns!!

Any lawn mower dealer can work on this, I’m sure DEWALT uses the same parts as everybody else. Hydro-gear transaxles, heavy duty spindles, motor etc... If a fender bolt breaks off, well go to Home Depot and get another one! Hell we can all work on these mowers if we just try!

I've been watching all of your videos on this Dewalt mower for the last couple weeks. Trying to decide on the same thing you mention around the 3:10 mark. Why buy this for 8 or 9k when you can throw a couple more thousand at it and have one of the bigger name commercial mowers with all the added support? today I decided if home depot wants to sell me this mower brand new for 6k, I'll buy it. well, today I bought one. Time will tell. I think It's a well built mower but time will tell.

I have a dealer that sells Wright and Exmark, I already have a Metro 36 and my Snapper Pro 48 is clapped out and obsolete. I think I'll just play it safe and drop $6-8K on a new Metro/Viking or Stander B. Proven platforms, better pricing and better support.

Looks like it is a good product. That being said, I have always like a dealers ship and bought a Toro for my residential property which is 3 acres. I like to be able to call my dealer and not home depot on who to bring it to if any issues. This will be the downfall of the dewalt mower, servicing not performance

I try to utilize the app and it’s not working Icalled dewalt and I provided my model number and serial number. They told me they can find this model on their system. 😫 they transfer me to another person where they don’t have parts I can even order the key would you be able to help me out? Should I return this thing and buy something local? I also was thinking to get the mulching kit extra & extra parts. also the digital throttle and other parts for just in case but it’s impossible to get parts. Could you please give me your thoughts ?

I have a residential zero turn and have been struggling with blowing grass into the beds, I carfully blow as much out as I can with my blower without blowing out the mulch but there is always some left. I cannot put a advanced chute or such on due to it being residential. Should I sacrifice the stripes so I’m more careful about the clippings? Anyone know or can refer a video to me? Thanks!

Mow backwards near the garden if you need to maintain a pattern, or mow two passes around the garden facing out and go from there..I don't use a chute blocker because they aren't compatible with my bagger. You could always just make a chute blocker if you absolutely need one, or modify the brand you prefer to fit.

The price is high because MTD is very greedy when it comes to getting their portion of the sales. Dewalt probably doesn’t make much off these deals so they have to mark them up. I just wouldn’t do it, MTD has too much past history of discontinuing parts and making poorly designed commercial units. No dealer support, it won’t be long and they will have to re launch this in a cheaper smaller platform in order to sale enough to make them a successful product. The average person wants a cheap mower that they can afford not a 10k dollar one. I don’t think the commercial guys are going to start mower shipping exclusively at Home Depot any time soon.
