I’d Harley rake it, irrigation, and then hydroseed it. Then you have the equipment to aerate and overseed it a few times and thicken it up. I don’t know exactly how much sod costs but I’m sure it’s more than doing that haha
@treypawley78279 ай бұрын
I would 100% agree being it’s such a large area.

I think irrigation would be the first priority. I hope you do that yourself or shoot a video on it. I transitioned from regular mowing to irrigation and love it so much more.

Even on your rutted up bumpy lawn, the new mowers seem to stripe pretty good. Can’t wait to see what they will do on more established turf!

Do the bluegrass. So worth it. When we built our house 13 years ago I knew I wanted bluegrass. It took me quite some years to get it right. But man, now it looks beautiful and the stripes I can put down has the neighbors jealous 😄. They all said they wish they would have went bluegrass even though it’s so much more work.

Hey, I have a Bradley stand on, lol. It's commercially built but only has 25 HP. I like it so far for a lower end stand on. I doubt there is a cheaper model. That Ex-Mark though!!!!

I would just fill in the holes for now with some nice screened loam once construction is completed up top then you can Harley rake everything and it will blend together much better

Brian, if you want, I can help you out with the seed. Sod is good, but natural seed+ top soil is the way to go the best long term.. You looked at my yard. Kbg and rye grass mix with tttf is the best.

Just built a house on 3 acres. Don’t put Bluegrass down after just building. The grading will settle and you’ll still end up with uneven ground. Do your best to throw annual down first to control runoff and spend the summer managing water runoff and settling of the dirt to let everything compress. Come behind it afterwards and till and plug the annual in the fall and prep for irrigation after everything is settled. You’ll be happy you did. I’m in the leveling phase right now myself. Storm water runoff nuked my yard after the house was completed and the builder gave me a middle finger after signing.

Awesome mowers. I'd love to try one. Heard those tires hold a hill better. I'd just come off my drive way put a load of cheap shale down have a skidsteer make you a pad for the truck to park to pump your tank. I worked 2 and 3 jobs my whole life.. I took time this year to see the eclipse in totality. It was well worth it and was amazing awhole different experience seeing it get completely dark out side.
