A gorgeous mediterranean style French farmhouse in Provence

I am so happy to share this beautiful French farmhouse in Provence with you. In this region of France, a farmhouse is called a "Bastide". Julien, the owner, found it abandoned and in need of a lot of work, and over the course of years he's turned it into a beautiful mediterranean and provencal style farmhouse. I had not experienced that before and have lived in over 30 locations. It floored me when I felt it. Watching this reminded me of that feeling. 💖💫it feels exquisite.

We stayed in a small village in Provence about 10 years ago, when my spouse had a work project there. Our children were very small (1 and 3), and we stayed in a Gite with a very similar look to Julien's home. He has done an amazing amount of work to restore the place; it is indeed very lovely. And I think you have done a great job telling the story. I'm glad to have discovered your channel.

Julien is a hard worker, visionary, and interior decorator. I love the rustic simplicity mixed with highly contemporary touches. This would be a wonderful place to stay. Simple floral arrangements and using objects layered on a slice of tree as a pedestal....he's original.

I loved everything, but the walls, both interior and exterior, had my heart! My father was a residential painter and also hung and finished drywall, but I’ve never seen the sort of wall compound that was used here. It’s stunning, warm and full of life, and a labor of love!
