Just found your channel. You remind me of my late elder brother Bill, who was super Goth. Such a good find. I saw your other vid about making sure our boots fit and don't chafe or hurt. I just started selling safety boots for a living. Thanks for this vid too. We are about the same age, and I can definitely appreciate all you're sharing about taking better care of ourselves! New subscriber.

I used to do a lot of running, running the Great North Run 6 times but eventually my knees told me in no uncertain times to stop, that's why I stared to power walk and hike, still get the same benefits but without the pressure on my knees. I still make mistakes when I am out in the Fells and like to keep them in on a video, as I see far to many 'perfect' videos, where absolutely nothing goes wrong - we all know in the real world that never happens. I do get up at 04.00 in the morning to get over the Lake District nice and early and preferably just as the sun is rising - magical :o) Cheers Alan

I used to run at school , I tried about 5 years ago and my knee went after a week of it , never had pain like it , was out of action on meds for 2 weeks , so put me off running , I'm more than happy with walking now , and yes power walking is a great running alternative , not just for getting to the pub faster 😂. You do need to get up early for a big day , was just joking about that. I do like that you keep mistakes in your videos its nice seeing people being realistic and down to earth , I aim to keep more errors in my vids in future . best wishes pal

Good advice John; yes its great for every one to get out and walk without the pressure of having to walk too far and stay within your own abilities. I think we all get lost from time to time, I think its how you deal with it and not panic if in a remote area and especially if you are alone. Best wishes, Gilly 😎👍

Walking in nature is so goth 🖤🐐🦇 Haha. I wish more people did it. Feels great to be outdoors and running away from bubble bees. Yes! I pick up trash too haha. I got a trek pole, but hopefully this ren faire I'll find a cool staff

Thanks ,I think so too , I love finding ancient sites and ruins best , but also bleak desolate places , I hope you find a staff . I've thought of making my own with a metal skull handle and spiked tip , I hope I find the right straight branch from a tree to use , best wishes 🖤🦇

I had always a dog till decades.... and they never asked about my walk. We had to walk togehter... with younger dog, with old dog, but most time in nature. So yes, walk. Its often a better time than other parts of the day.

@thehealthanarchist7 ай бұрын
Hi , first part is is back of boating lakes behind Stamford park , second part is above Carrbrook near Harridge pike , there's a better video I did without going this difficult route called The hill less travelled

That's good advice that. I was a keen cyclist for years( until I got knocked off by a car)! I may start walking?

Thanks John, the weather recently has properly pushed everyones resolve to get out but the benefits are even greater because you feel brilliant afterwards. Smashing message, thank you! PS, where do I get the Peruvian tree bark from?
