No one noticed it, but I forgot to update Siege's frame data when I was editing! I knew I was forgetting something when I was uploading this video! Here is the updated frame data: Max: 94 Avg: 75 Min: 54 1%: N/A .1%: N/A I guess because the average was nearly the same as Battlefield V's my brain just thought I already entered it in from my data sheet. Regardless, what I said still holds up! Also thank you for reading this comment! lol

That's basically a cut-down HD 7790 with 2GB VRAM. I'd say that even that's too expensive for a lower tier card, as with luck you could get something way better from that era.
@kokodin58958 ай бұрын
yes it is and 2gb hd7790 or r7 260x can be found for less and you can always flash 7790 to 260x if you want true audio working

This price tier is under appreciated. My cousin got an nvidia 760 for $25 Canadian and honestly, it’s far better than it had any right to be.

The GTX 760 is a great budget card, despite it losing support in recent years. If I had the time and know-how, I would make a website that automatically tiered the prices, and kept them up to date to show what cards you could find at certain price points. There are so many great budget cards out there!
@johnl57538 ай бұрын
I had one of those cards for a couple months. I had a 19" 900p monitor paired with this card. Overwatch, Fortnite, CS GO, VALORANT had great FPS. It's an esports budget card.

The unique sketch style intros you have on every video is something I liked when I found your channel and even a sibling of mine who isn't into PCs found the style "cute and fun". Only suggestions I have is to change up the text color for the benchmark numbers as blue on the orange-purple gradient isn't that easily readable (a lighter blue or white would be more readable since there's more contrast), and to add the name of the game along with the text to make it easier to find when going back through a video to find a particular benchmark. I'm looking around the cheaper end of the used GPU market myself and considering something that can do hardware decoding of video for HTPC like use, but sadly the market in my area is weirdly expensive and there's more options of used GPUs coming directly from China with the likelihood they've been mined on and are dirty so it's not that easy to find a deal on a GPU.
@abunk86918 ай бұрын
I was looking into the R7 360, R7 260X, RX 550, RX 560. But those 4 are all around $35~40 in my area. The GT 1030 would have been a nice fit for my use case with the balance of power efficiency, and having the hardware decoding I need, but became disqualified instantly due to the price. For the price of a GT 1030 (new or used) I could just get a GTX 1050 which is stupid that they're around $80~95 and just a bit more would be a used RX 5500XT which would blow those out of the water.

Good video. If your budget is this card then look at the "Top 10 games of the year" from 2008-2016. It should play them fine, maybe even great. No one who has this low of a budget will be playing recent AAA games because of their cost. Older games are often only a few dollars each on key shops or Steam sales, etc.

I got into pc gaming by picking up a used hp desktop in january 2015 and made my steam account the next month. This hp had a amd quad core from around 2011 and the graphics was built into the motherboard. It didn't run games super great so i stayed mostly in the older easy to run games that you can get cheap like the half life games. For christmas i asked for a r7 370 witch i spent a good amount of time trying to find something good that wasn't super expensive. It was $119 before tax and had a $10 rebate. It was a massive difference from what old radeon graphics it had and i was perfectly happy with how well games played. Though even a few years later if you tried to play new games the 2gb of vram just killed the performance. The biggest show of that was when i got another used computer and swapped parts to use it as my computer and tried to play metro exodus when it was on gamepass. The better computer had a i7 3930k and 16gb ram but it didn't run well even at 720p. It was around ~20 something fps so for me i still played it and enjoyed the game but it just isn't a powerhouse like you said in the video. Though both the r7 360 and 370 are well suited for older and most indies and if my card didn't die in 2022 after 6 years of service i would probably have kept it as a backup for when i got something newer. This would still be a good option for a system for a kid that wants to play minecraft and other easy to run games.

Well ... RX 460 costs practically the same, and it is somewhat better with modern titles. If you are really buying AAA games, think about Chinese RX 580 2048 SP, much more powerful thing. All that being said, this card is good enough for 1080p low-med in games released during PS4 era (up to 2020) .

I remember the Days back in 2007 when I had a 2.8Ghz Athlon II with an x1650 pro, and 2 or 4gb of RAM (forgot what I ran back then) running Crysis at 20-30 fps with 1% lows in the single digits. And I played multiplayer that way. It was a blast and I remember it fondly. I played at custom very low settings (lower than low) on a CRT so it was pretty ugly, the difference between low and high were huge back then. Most of us online players played that way and that's just how it was. Nowadays anything below 60fps is considered unplayable by a lot of People. It's strange to see how our standards have changed so much. I'm actually replaying Crysis right now (original, not the remaster) when I have time and I get 140fps completely maxed out settings at 1440p- so much nostalgia, brings back a lot of memories, if Crysis were released Today I think it would still be a good looking game, which is kinda nuts.
