It used to be consoles were the market dominators for the longest time, because not a lot of people knew how to build PC's and even if they did it was more office focused. Much more recently with the help of Steam, improved technology, and consumer awareness, can get you pretty far if you want to try out PC gaming. Even if you're not as invested in upgrading/building buying a cheap prebuilt to play around with games can be a great introduction to anyone hesitant on buying/building expensive setups.

Realme 8, bought it in mid 2022 for $180 from AliExpress. It has helio g95 cpu which got a beefy mali-g76, the best among helio g series. So long I'm still satisfied with gaming performance and if anything happens I blame the devs cuz they didn't optimize their shitty microtransaction simulator for an average spec phone their audience has (looking at pubg mobile right now, hell, you need 3rd party apps just to unlock basic 60 fps the phone is pretty capable of rendering, like wtf). In terms of cameras, it got similar specs to TCL 10L, but with main module being 64MP (barely noticeable in comparison though). The AI camera features are basically color boosting (and it's fantastic) and background blur, that's it. Overall quality is decent enough for me, except for when recording in 1080p60 the noise on the film will be extreme, like it's some analog horror typa shit. The screen is a 1080p AMOLED, and man, if you'll ever use an AMOLED screen you'll fall in love with black color it gives and never look at IPS again. For other stuff, 6GB of memory with option to expand up to 11GB (useless asf feature), 128GB of storage with 2 SIM + microSD slots, headphone jack, usb-c, underscreen fingerprint sensor (which will blind you when used in nighttime), NFC, and Android 13 being the last version it has and will have. About the rarely talked downsides: the cameras get incredibly dusty very quick and cleaning them will be painful. If you're both a microSD user and a Shizuku user, you'll be annoyed when you discover that if the phone boots with Disabled Permission Monitoring the microSD won't be found, and the only fix is to disable DPM before shutting down the phone. The speaker is mono and is relatively quiet. Some features are cut from the ROM, like closing app animation returning to its icon, translucent control panel (it's always either gray or white), 3rd party fingerprint animations, etc. Though I need to appreciate the relatively easy bootloader unlocking process, a decent collection of custom ROMs for this phone, and some KernelSU support. These things will pay themselves when the phone's software will reach its EoL. And lastly, here're some features I absolutely appreciate: drawing a V on screen when in sleep will turn on flashlight, and to turn it off you need to press the power button! There're other things you can draw, like O for quick camera launch, II for pausing media, < or > to play previous or next, and also M, W and /\ for any 3 apps to quickly start them. The hidden apps/private safe feature is done pretty decently, with the ability to access it through a specific finger from the fingerprint unlock, holding down the bottom bar in system gallery or file manager, and typing a #16-digit passcode# into the caller.

Not bad but why don't any of you "budget builders" factor in mouse, keyboard and monitor - it is not a PC without those items.
@BudgetBin3 күн бұрын
Yes it is.

@@BudgetBin OK, its not a usable PC then. A car is still a car but without wheels its useless - that's the point, but you already know that. And, of course, you also need speakers/headphones for sound, which is essential for a gaming PC.
@BudgetBin3 күн бұрын
@@zooropa33 I wonder if you understand the flaws in the logic you created if it was explained to you. Instead, how about this, since I am not a fan of arguing with people on the internet. If I spent an extra $20-$40 every time I made a build video, on peripherals, would it remain realistic or trend towards abnormal? It would be tantamount to pyrrihc completion and it would cause confusion amoungst viewers. Have you considered that possibly, no one else thinks what's you are thinking? Because you are the only person to ever comment this, ever? A lot of peripherals me and my peers have gotten our hands on, we paid either nothing, or virtually nothing on them by the way. But anyways, I hope this helps you answer your question!
@zooropa333 күн бұрын
@@BudgetBin Perhaps if you were to view my video of how to build a car for $100 you might understand me better. I bought the bodywork and bumpers for $75 & windscreen for $25. I did not bother with the "peripherals" of wheels, engine & headlights as i thought this might confuse my viewers owing to the fact that i think they are thick which is almost certainly why i think i can get away with claiming to build something for an incredible price which is, in fact, incomplete and useless. In any case, don't you realise that me and my peers can get wheels, engine & headlights for nothing or virtually nothing because these items exist outside the normal rules of commerce and value. Meanwhile, back in the real world, no self respecting "builder" would consider building something to completion and function as "pyrrihc". I could not care less if i am the only person to raise this as only sheep require the need for validation. I am sorry that my comments dent your obviously flimsy ego. If you don't want any potential criticism then i suggest the internet is not for you and perhaps you should consider a vacuum as a more suitable vehicle for your absurd claims and inappropriate use and brutalization of the English Language. Be better, much better. And, on top of all that - you went over $100 anyway! You couldn't make it up, except you did. Must go now as i have to record my video showcasing my $25 private gulf stream jet, it does not fly of course because it has no wings but i wouldn't want to confuse my viewers with trivial details.

@@zooropa33 Imagine typing all this out because the guy didn't include a keyboard and mouse that you can literally pickup for a few dollars, the whole point is BUDGET. You could probably find some for free if you asked around friends/family. Level 1000 autistic moment.

When I decided to get back to a tower PC, I had a bit more money to play with so I chose a refurbished Dell Precision T3600. It had no hard drive so I got a cheap 500GB SATA SSD that's designed for a laptop and I found a free 2GB GPU which had a problem that I could fix on Facebook Marketplace. Recently, I upgraded the GPU to a Radeon RX 580 that was on sale for around $80 and to me it made my machine into a beast. Personally if I had a choice between what looks like a cheap office PC vs a highly esthetic looking PC with all the RGB, I'd take the office PC. The two reasons why are because RGB lighting gives you no gaming advantage what so ever and you're not watching the pretty lights on the PC, you're gaming.

If you are patient enough, and spend enough time searching, you can get a lot for little money, but you have to be aware of some downsides. I've found a full pc build from hp for 200 €, which had a Intel Core i7 6700, 16GB DDR4 2133, 250GB SSD with Windows 10 Home fresh preinstalled and a GeForce GT 430. The downside was the buid in PSU, which only had 180W! I was shocked, it was the original hp PSU, that was meant to power only the components, that are buid in and nothing more, so no upgrades with that PSU. Luckily, i build random pcs as a hobby (and sell them from time to time), so i had some spare parts right at hand. Changed the PSU to a 450W bequiet, and replaced the GT 430 with a short Radeon RX 480 4GB HP OEM (that i got for "dirt" cheap, because of the horrible dirty condition of it and a broken fan, which i replaced). The thing with the PCIe Slot was another thing i had to consider in, to what GPUs i can use with this pc, because right behind the PCIe slot are the Sata ports, so if i want to use them (i build in another ssd later on), i am limited to use only short Graphic cards. Even if this pc actually worked fine with original parts, i had to throw another 100 € at it, and some time and stress (especially with some bios settings and certain restrictions, i had to work with), to make it a neat machine, that is able to play almost all games (some newer games only on low/medium to get playable framerates at 1080p). Some prebuilds can be a mess to deal with and need some workarounds and tinkering to make them work to your likings.

i like yer thinking. tho i tend to look for mobo's that let you oc chips, or cheap unlocked chips like the g3258, 10 bucks, and its 2 cores will run about as fast as a 4790k's cores when oc'd from 3.2 to 4.4 stock cooler. a lotta 1866 ddr3 can oc to 2400, i see 10$ 8gb sticks of kingston's i know to work. got a 750ti oc'd too and running sf6 1080 at not too ugly settings, they're prolly 30$? i wouldn't go as old as this 2014 stuff, but when i checked what it'd cost to rebuild a budget pc i made someone a few years ago, it's not much anymore, and it still works great! be sure to tweak your 560 with msi afterburner--you can eek out more fps without increasing any voltages, therefore no threat to hardware. just see how fast you can set things before it gets confused!
