Stayed at Sakura a few weeks ago. Nice hotel. Yes, colourful street. Note there is a good Laundromat next to Dream Heaven if I recall correctly. God bless one of the lasses that worked there that took out my clothes and put them in a bag for me once the cycle had finished.

There is a fun little beer bar area on Soi 50 where Cheap Charlie's moved. Just regular people. There are smaller beer bars everywhere around town
