My Grandmother was a Yaqui Indian from Sonora,my Grandfather was German. He was a railroad engineer for Pancho Villa’s Army. My Grandfather was lined up before a firing squad. My Grandmother saved his life by telling Pancho he was a railroad engineer. Pancho told my Grandfather to change his last name. He served until the end of the revolution. Then went to East L.A. and died from a railroad accident.

Yes, this was a great actioner - 100 Rifles - with two top Hollywood icons: Raquel Welch and Jim Brown. Ms. Welch was such a competent actor that if she was put - and she was - into any genre of film, she literally sparkled. Scene-stealing came seamlessly to her. The detective/spy genre was a top fave of the 60's and Ms. Welch's versatile talent was showcased and used to great advantage in various films of the 60's. I am sure she would have given Ann-Margret sleepless nights over her prodigious talent as a dancer and in the body sweepstakes as well. A terrific looker with great skin; she was big-busted too. She was the kind of beauty who gave teenage boys wet dreams and added testosterone. She was terrific with one liners too. In "Flareup' she tells one of the villains "where I come from, a man with a make can go jump in the lake'. Her films include: One million BC, The Detective with Frank Sinatra and a dozen others including Myra Breckenridge. Being a terrific movie buff myself back in the 60's, I saw to it that I never missed a Raquel Welch movie. I can't recall seeing anything else of Jim Brown, but do remember he was the centrefold of an issue of Playgirl. Yes, he was colored, but he was good looking and built like an ox. His passionate sequences with Raquel had them going up in smoke.
