The same scenes made me tear up, just the beauty of being human. The old lady in the park experienced all the things Barbie was afraid of at first: change, feelings of all kind, imperfection, but she thought it was beautiful. It made me a little sad that people were only talking about the feminism in the movie when messages like this were it's heart but it was going to happen, obviously. I've loved your videos since I watched she-ra a while ago, thankyou as always for sharing what you think and feel. (Sorry for my english it's not my language bla bla).

totally agree, the messages about life/being human were so well-executed and touching, it's sad that a lot of people completely ignore them and only focus on the feminist aspect of it! (not that they shouldn't, but the movie is not just about that)

I completely agree. The beauty of being human and just being ordinary was the main message I got from the film. I do wish it focused on that more. The themes were kinda all over the place and had a bunch of mixed in messages. Was it about feminism, patriarchy, or how to just be you? Or was it about the beauty of being human even though the real world is messy? Was it a comedy or an inspirational film? I'm a huge Barbie fan so I loved the film but I do feel like it lacked direction and focus

I actually found it really compelling the way that Barbie was taking a moment to appreciate nature when in the real world. Her looking up to the pine trees while being a literal manifestation of a plastic toy was almost jarring, but not in a bad way. I found the montage of all the young girls really emotionally impactful and it could of been fun to see more of Barbie’s positive role in being a medium for kids to play with

The marketing surprised me because I honestly thought they were going to have Ken and Barbie be a couple but it turns out she didn't even like him that way. Feels refreshing that they parted on good terms and Ken didn't become an incel for the rest of the movie

Not related to the movie but the original toy. Her figure was deliberately exaggerated because not all children had money for her dresses, so by exaggeration it meant that children who only had the money to use string to make her clothes could and they would stay on. Also her and Ken are named after the son and daughter of her creator, that can makes things awkward. Trivia aside keep up the good work.
