To clear up a misconception that even I had with these boxsets, Stranded was still 8, Liv and Helen, but with the addition of Tanya to the cast. What Lies Inside is a continuation of that TARDIS team after the events of Stranded

Ironically I think the problem with 3rd Doctor adventures is the fact that they are not woke enough. Legitimately wish they pushed the boat beyond the views of the 70s, and weren’t just about “nature good, right wing bad”. I wish they covered more philosophy, more stuff about AI in modern day, unreasonable hate of lgbt, etc. EDIT: Antillia the Lost feels really underrated to me, idk. I loved a “lost planet” plot. The side cast on that story was fun.

16:08 Woah, Did you mention Ghosts episode from Tugs? I was not expecting that. The model work on both Tugs and Classic Thomas is absolutely stunning. And that Ghost episode is done so well 😁

misty eye's is my favourite of the year, a deeply character focused story. also gwen cooper joined the team in Iceland that's kinda like torchwood, not actually torchwood

Oh God... decisions, decisions for what to buy from the Time War sale! So many War Master/War Doctor audios, so little budget!
@vcom7413 ай бұрын
If you’ve bought nothing from War Doctor series ever, quick recommendation. Only the Monstrous for John Hurt, He Who Fights With The Monsters for Carley. If you like either, buy more sets of either this sale or next one.

@@vcom741 thanks. He Who Fights With Monsters got me interested with the trailer alone (probably not always the best approach but I had heard good things about it elsewhere). Also I think it might be a case of buying it alongside whichever War Master boxset I want most (narrowed down to Anti Genesis, Escape From Reality and Killing Time).
@vcom7413 ай бұрын
@@Jedi_SpartanMy personal opinion - Killing Time is the strongest set of the 3. As per He Who Fights With The Monsters, it’s a Doctor Who version of a very famous anti-war story that has been adapted a lot of times under different names each time (saying it will prolly spoil a lot of it lol)

@@vcom741 Also on an unrelated note, is it weird that - after watching The Happiness Patrol for the first time today - I want to now buy Ravenous 1 specifically for the Kandyman episode/installment?

As much as I appreciate the sentiment behind Once and Future, if it’s meant to be one Doctor with different faces but not being the different Doctors, it over complicates things unnecessarily in my eyes. Just have individual stories with the respective Doctors.

Honestly the 6th doctor purity arc just couldn’t nail the landing with a good ending i box set one and two are amazing with the second one giving a cliff hanger with massive ramifications it felt like old sixie got a modern day new who series but the last episode spoils it but still sixie is your best bet usually for great audios and poor seven I would argue the last day part one and two is way worse than genies of terror
