Always bothered me that the storyline they set up with Jack was never really followed up on, not even in Torchwood. The Time Agency and Jack's Missing Memories just kinda get dropped and never get brought up again anywhere. (Don't ask me about Big Finish, haven't listened to all 4.5 Billion Audio Sets yet).

I have a feeling it was supposed to be if Chris stayed for season 2. There was a story line they were working on

I genuinely think the 9th Doctor wouldn’t be as impactful as he is if he had more than 1 series. Something about having him for that 1 season felt so right, and felt so perfect in the sense that despite the desire to want more, what we got was what we needed at the time. And really, what Doctor Who needed at its time. Between 9-12, every actor who played the Doctor served a specific purpose to the show and the audience as a whole in their time. They were meant to play their Doctor that way because we needed it. And Christopher Eccleston perfectly embodied the need to bring back Doctor Who to mainstream media. He introduced a new generation of kids and adults to the show. RTD introduced the new format that would shape Modern Who for 10 seasons. And he ushered the start of Doctor Who’s return to pop culture. I personally never got into the show when I was a kid (I was 2 when it first premiered) but I got introduced to the 9th Doctor during COVID watching those iconic clips from Boomtown. I do not regret that day ever since. And every day that passes I still long for the days I get that feeling again when I watched the 9th Doctor.

Don't forget Auton Rory/The Last Centurion. I guess they can live forever, provided they don't suffer catastrophic damage or get melted along the way. They could even be one of the few species that have a longer lifespan than the timelords. Though i guess they'd have to break free of their respective nestene consciousness to really utilize this. And avoid their major weaknesses. But Rory managed it for 2000 years.

Apart from the wealth of knowledge you have acquired about each species mentioned, the time, research and energy you have put in to making this video, I can but marvel at your ability to pronounce the species mentioned. However, how the hell you managed to pronounce all the names of the clans involved with the Slitheen and their many 'families (?)', has got me stumped !! Did you take elocution lessons or something ? I struggle with Raxocoricofallapatorius - and we thought Julie Andrews had it tough with with 'supercallifragalisticexpaladocious !! Well done !!

Y2K looks like a massive overreaction in retrospect, and there certainly was overreaction (planes were never likely to fall out of the sky), but a LOT of work went into making it not a bigger deal. The banking concerns were very real at the time, and a lot of work happened behind the scenes to make up for shortfalls in banking software at the time in particular. The overreaction about Y2K is arguably only matched by the over minimisation of the work done by people at the time to make it such a non-starter. The irony being the fact that Y2K is treated like a joke these days is credit to the work done behind the scenes to make it so.

Y'know, with how many resources one guy has cost so many alien species, you'd think everyone would point at Earth and just go "DO NOT GO THERE!". Or maybe aliens also fall victim to the sunk cost fallacy.

The forest traveled to the edge of the universe and poofed? Well, when is the only other time we have seen the edge of the universe? It was when the 14th and Donna met the Nobodies. So perhaps, thats what the forest found. They were called there by something, maybe the nobodies, maybe something else, and then ran into the Nobodies. It would explain why they wouldn't want to talk about it. They probably lost many and the horrors of the Nobodies are something that I see few wishing to ever talk about

1:31:14 Honestly given how Big Finish seems to like doing a lot of alternate scenarios and “What Ifs” I wouldn’t mind them tackling the idea of Britain’s Golden Age at some point Hell, any expanded media that explores that idea would be cool to see
