I feel with the Rose scrapped storyline, that kinda happened with Clara in a loose way. She became the ‘perfect’ companion for the Doctor, so much so she was becoming the Doctor (which obviously ultimately killed her), but instead of the Doctor messing with a human for the perfect companion, Missy stepped in and chose Clara because she knew she would be the best match for him. So in a round about way, we kinda got that storyline
@tgiacin435 Жыл бұрын
That just makes me hate Rose and Clara even more. We don’t need the companions to be special. They’re the audience identification character. Why do we need the bad wolf crap, or the hybrid crap with Clara not dying, but instead gets her own tardis because she’s “entitled to her past” even though her being “alive” puts the entire universe at risk.

The weird thing is the idea of a blonde English teenager whose existence had been altered to create the perfect companion was actually part of the Faction Paradox arc in the Eighth Doctor Adventures books in the form of Sam Jones. Eight also creates a similar kind of companion on two different occasions in the Big Finish audios.
@emotion_deluxe Жыл бұрын
the only time I've liked a companion being plot oriented was with Donna. It complimented her development and role as something the viewers can identify with. I really thought the finale was a great way to reinforce the doctor trying to tell the audience that anyone can make a difference. Plus, her character exit was actually quite dark too, which was something the show needed after leaving martha and sarah jane in a grey area, and rose relatively better off than last time. I think with amy, it attributed to her overstaying her welcome, and to me, it also by extension ruined river's mysterious persona. it's like everything was always about amy but amy herself never actually changed. I haven't watched Bill or Clara yet, but from what i hear, they both develop well as a companion so I'm hoping they are fun to watch.

The theory about Rory being the Master got a lot more specific. There were a couple of times they refered to him as hearing drums in his head, which was a big plot point for the Master. When River Song regenerated in front of them he got a headache. There's an episode where everyone finds their biggest fear in a room, except Rory, and when the Doctor finds his we don't see it but the Doctor says "of course it'd be you". It really feels like something they were considering even if they didn't go with it in the end. ...and it's Peter Davison btw, not Davidson. Only one D, at the start.
@obiwankenobi6873 жыл бұрын
The line about Rory getting a headache in let’s kill Hitler was 100% a joke. They mention a sort of banging in his head a grand total of one time. In that same episode and Amy says ‘yeh I think that’s Hitler in the cupboard’. It was just a joke plain and simple because he’d had a stressful, confusing day. And him not having a room in the hotel was nothing to do with fear it was about him not having faith in anything. He wasn’t religious or superstitious so he had no faith to fall back on, which was the food for the creature. Therefore the Minotaur didn’t need to bother with Rory and kept showing him a way out as he wasn’t needed there. I don’t actually think ‘of course it’d be you’ is actually said by eleven either. He says ‘who else’ meaning the crack in the time, the crack is what he sees in the god complex. Who else makes zero sense however this was just Moffat not actually planning anything out. If he’d literally have said ‘what else?’ Then people and places and objects etc can all be applied to that question. But ‘who else’ is just ridiculously limiting and in the end didnt work at all. As a crack is not a ‘who’. But regardless of all that It’s definitely nothing to do with any sort of master subplot though, these are just mega reaches

Oof, I'm so glad RTD never made that thing with Rose's backstory canon. One of the nicest things about the early NuWho companions what that they were just Totally Normal Unimportant People. Rose was literally just some 19yr old Londoner who happened to be quite brave and bright. Martha was similarly just a capable medical student, and while she saved the world and travelled the globe, she did that on her own merit, and it wasn't because prophecy foretold it or something. The you've got Donna, whom I love and cherish, who was seemingly always destined to meet the Doctor. As was Wilf, because he had the all important role of accidentally causing the death of one of his favourite people in the universe. Then there's Amy, caught up in an insane plot to birth River Song and kill the Doctor. And then of course Clara, who yeets herself into the Doctor's timestream and 'was born to save the Doctor'. I love all these companions, but god I hate it when they become the centre of the entire goddamn universe. They're normal people who just happen to be friends with a quirky time traveller. Having Rose and Martha stay (comparatively) unimportant in the scheme of the universe was nice.
@graaaaaaaaaaaaaaace3 жыл бұрын
I agree with you - but also the point about Clara and Amy both being heavily involved almost retroactively makes Donna's deal stand out less. I think between the three of Amy, Clara, and Donna, I end up preferring Donna, because even if Dalek Caan pushed her timeline around to meet the Doctor, at her core she was just a regular woman. Amy and Clara never really were just "normal" people. (Amy having the cracks of time throughout her life, Clara with the timestream.) At least to me. Though Rose does have Bad Wolf, which is sort of on par with Caan manipulating timespace for Donna?

My guess is (and I semi like it) is that Weeping Angels are what happens when regeneration go horribly wrong. Like, instead of regeneration, your cells go worse, or you go back a regeneration, or regenerate too much and start wasting bodies out of control. I'd guess the Weeping angel process is a side effect, their bodies start to fossilise, the skin petrifying into stone as a kind of self preservation for the uncontrollable decay of the flesh. I half imagine the Master during the Deadly Assasin was almost half way there to becoming one judging by the pace of his decay (stopped only by having access to some of the Eye of Harmony, and subsequently getting some healing from the Traken source).

@@NicoleM_radiantbaby The Season 6b Theory started in 1969 when the comic strip in DW Magazine had several Second Doctor Adventures after War Games where The Doctor had begun serving his sentence in exhile on earth but had not yet been made to regenerate . Details in The Three Doctors and The Five Doctors don't make any sense whatsoever because The 2nd Doctor has knowledge he shouldn't have , appears to be working for the Timelords , he calls out the fake companions as fake because they had their memories of traveling with him erased so they shouldn't know him , Though if The 2nd Doctor knows that then this is after The War Games but prior to Regeneration into 3 . The Two Doctors was when The Season 6b Theory became simply Season 6b . The writer's purposefully took the fan theory of season 6b that conquered Continuity Conundrums so well , and categorically confirmed Season 6b as in show canon proper having The Doctor explain that he is unofficially publicly working for the Timelords Celestial Intervention Agency. Several novels comics etc take place during Season 6b intentionally . I don't know if big finish has done any Session 6b stories yet or not. Since the show finally confirming the 20 year old theory as canonical in Two Doctors, the television show proper wouldn't reference Season 6b directly again for over another 30 years . The Fugitive of the Judoon , and The Timeless Children reconfirms the canonicity of Season 6b , several times over, with some definite surprises hidden within it's ominously intimidating length of concealed timelords secrets . .. that cleverly fill in more plot holes too . We're introduced to the completley forgotten Fugitive Doctor from Season 6b. We see her recruitment to The Division as a young newly Regenerated Time Lady in that zoom meeting. I'm thinking the festive new year special starting like twice Upon a Time, previousIy on Doctor Who 627 episodes ago , we continue on from the end of War Games, we see the Regeneration completed thanks to cgi , spinning the world from b&w into color as The Second Doctor Regenerates into the young Fugitive Doctor as we saw her in The Timeless Children and then she will likely be escourted to that zoom division recruitment meeting that we now see and understand more in context as the opening titles starting up. Kinda a mix between season 6 and 7 ',s titles . The Fugitive Doctor opening titles for Season 6b.1 aka The Division Era..... Series 14 aka Season 41 aka 60th anniversary season aka The Fugitive Doctor era . Jo Martin isn't the 14th Doctor but she could easily be the next Doctor the show follows in season 6B for. A few years . We already seen her retirement from the division thru the Brendan perception filter, memories of the entire Regeneration that worked for the division erased via Chameleon Arch simultaneously rewriting her DNA into being a regular full blooded two-hearted 12 regeneration limited Gallifreyan Time Lord triggers her now 1st of 12 regens controlled by the Timelords to hide secrets reusing the face worn immediately previously albeit a bit older The Second Second Doctor of Season 6b.2 as seen on The Three Five Two Doctors

My favorite thing about the Peter Davison meat tidbit is that before Douglas Adams wrote the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books, he had written several episodes of the Fourth Doctor era for the BBC and had incorporated some scrapped episode ideas into some of the events that happened in his books, meaning there are more connections to Hitchhiker's Guide and Doctor Who than were listed in the video.

Not to mention after the Tenth Doctor defeats the Sycorax in the duel from The Christmas Invasion he says, "Very Arthur Dent. Now, there was a nice man!" So if you want to, you can even infer that Hitchhiker's Guide and Doctor Who are in the same universe and that Arthur knows the Doctor.

The simplest and cannon explanation for the Watchers is : A Timelord majorly effs up, usually by trying to avoid death in a way that causes dozens if not others to be hurt or killed. They then go back in time creating a paradox and pressuring their past self to "do the right thing" usually give up their life to save others. When the event that cause the timelord to create the paradox is resolved, time changes and the watcher dissapears. The reason for their weird appearance is cause their existance within their own timeline while still having the same body is dangerous (like what happened when Rose touched her baby self in that altered timeline/reality). Time is actively trying to get rid of the watcher. Also Theta Sigma was the Doctor's Class/student number. Class Theta, student Sigma.

Academy Era nerd here! The Master actually *is* included in the Deca. His name is Koscei. The others in the group (which was formed by the highest excelling students of thier class. They tried to switch others out but they had formed such a tight group it was impossible to change, which is why even if they stopped excelling they never changed their group) inculded the First Doctor or Theta Sigma ,Koscei (the Master), Ushas (the Rani), Mortimus (the Monk), Drax, Vansell, Rallon, Jelpax, Millennia, and Magnus. Theta Sigma was also part of the Prydonian Chapter, all of which were born on the Looms with only one heart until they eventually regenerate for the first time (an ability obviously earned when one becomes a time lord.) This is why in the medical scan mentioned around 1:05:15 only shows the First Doctor with one heart. It is because he hasn't yet regenerated into a body with two hearts. There's a lot of lore and a lot of stuff we don't even know (tv spinoff hello we need you!) so yeah I don't know if it was condensed to fit the video or whatever but here is the simplified information nobody needed! So now that I can be considered an outcast of Doctor Who society, I will see myself out.

HOW COULD YOU FORGET THE TOM BAKER CONSTRUCTION JOB STORY?!?!?!?! Tom Baker was working construction while trying to find work as an actor, and once he got the part, he had to keep it a secret for a whole week while STILL working construction while the rest of London was left to wonder whom the new mystery man was going to be that would take the reigns of this now legendary franchise. When the Friday evening paper hit, Baker's face was plastered ALL OVER LONDON, the secret was out, and his mates at work gave him a TON of S*** at the pub that night before he left. (LOVE IT!)

The Master being the timeless child would also explain why the Doctor was granted extra regenerations and how they keep coming back (they will presumably survive the death particle to be an antagonist again). However it doesn't explain the shenanigans with Ruth, although that doesn't make much sense on its own anyway, due to Ruth having the TARDIS as a police box before it got stuck like that with the 1st Doctor.
@Emeraldakafunnygamerguy Жыл бұрын
You can explain Ruth by believing that the First Doctor's regeneration wasn't a regeneration, but a renewal, not fully counting as a regeneration, and the leftover half-regeneration is kept at bay until the "Second" Doctor's forced regeneration. Season 6b, the leftover half-regeneration temporarily causes the Doctor's regeneration into Ruth, in an effort to stop the forced regeneration from happening, and then the regeneration energy is stored away in the lighthouse. Once it's broken and she flies off, the regeneration energy finally catches up with her, and she regenerates into the Third Doctor (Jon Pertwee). Having only just gotten back his Time Lord consciousness and _also_ having only just regenerated, his brain is still very hazy.

*Here's a couple additions to the iceberg stuff mentioned that I know of.* The Jack being beheaded theory actually goes deeper. Moffat's original intention was for Jack to return in "A Good Man Goes To War." In it, he would be beheaded by the monks, thus becoming the living head that the Face of Boe is known for. Unfortunately, John Barrowman was unavailable to film due to scheduling conflicts, so Dorium ended up in Jack's place. Basically, this theory was mere inches away from being canon. There is a theory out there that the Doctor seen in "Curse of Fatal Death" ends up become the Shalka Doctor as the implied elationship between the Doctor and the Master in that would be a direct continuation off of where they are at the end of the sketch. Additionally, there is evidence that all three Ninth Doctors (Eccleston, Shalka, and Atkinson) are all canon and all existed at the same time. KZbinr DAVIS goes into that in the first part of this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hGbMYmOYpJuCa7c (Also check out his Broke Canon series if you haven't, it's full of all sorts of Doctor Who rabbitholes.) Another bit of evidence to the Rory is the Master theory (and what I thought was the only evidence until this) was in "Let's Kill Hitler." In the episode, after the reaveal of Melody being River, Rory states that he's "getting a sort of banging in his head," to which Amy jokingly responds that that's probably just Hitler in the cupboard. It was speculated that this could've the Sound of Drums reaching through a biolock. In Ten's recording to Martha, the first thing he mentions in the ad libbed part is that she needs to keep John Smith from eating pears because Ten hates them. In the scene, Martha fasts forward right before this part can be heard, however Twelve references the line in his final regeneration speech. This may imply that the complete recording, including the ad libbed part, is in fact the actual recording Ten left for Martha. Season 6B is also used to explain why Two looks so much older in "The Two Doctor's" as well as a couple other plot points. Also Season 6B has been officially acknowledged by the BBC, so it's basically canon now. Before Gaimen canonized the Timelords' ability to gender swap, there was a Doctor Who: Unbound story called "Exhile" released in 2003. The Unbound series was basically Big Finish telling a bunch of What If stories. "Exhile" follows an alternate Third Doctor, played by Arabella Weir, who managed to escape the Timelords in the Season 6 finale. In order to do hid himself, the Second Doctor had to commit suicide, which the story says is the only way for a Timelord to swap genders. Dark. An alternative to the Master being the Timeless Child is that he is the Hybrid. Think about the episode, he creates the Cybermasters, a combination of Timelord and Cyberman, two warrior races; the episode takes place in the ruins of Gallifrey; and with the Master suggested to have a death wish, this all could've been done to heal his heart in some weird twisted way. In addition, "Hell Bent" implies that ALL of the Matrix's prophecies point to the Hybrid. It seems to me that the events of "The Timeless Children" are far more worthy of being the subject of EVERY prophecy than the events of "Hell Bent." Basically, screw whatever Moffat says, this is my headcanon! *And now for my own additions to the iceberg.* Star Wars Exists in Doctor Who - Just go to this link on the wiki and scroll to the bottom. tardis.fandom.com/wiki/Star_Wars Sequal haters can rejoice knowing the Legends canon is the true canon! Doctor Who: LOCKDOWN - A simulcast watchalong event founded by Emily Cook of Doctor Who Magazine during the Covid-19 pandemic. During the watchalong, actors and writers from that day's episode would tweet about behind the scenes stories as well as release their own original content relavent to that episode. Original content ranged from short stories to little homemade videos from the actors continuing their character's stories. Lots of interesting additions to the canon in these. They can all be found here. kzbin.info Website From "Rose" Actually Exists - It's right here. www.whoisdoctorwho.co.uk/index4.shtml Steven Moffat's Inspiration for the Weeping Angels - Here's a copy of what Maffat said. www.reddit.com/r/doctorwho/comments/1aq57e/til_that_the_weeping_angels_was_an_actual_statue/ Also Doctor Who: Unbound should probably be on here somewhere.

I do want to point out that I think the idea Moffat had for Missy was that she would be the very last incarnation of the Master. I mean considering it would be the perfect final ending to the character. I know the Master has died proper several times throughout the series, but I honestly think the intention was for Missy to be the very last master and any other master following her in the series would actually be incarnations happening between Simm and Gomez. Might just be me justifying it in my head though. I've had this apparently false memory of her saying "it might take a couple of tries, but you'll get there in the end" in response to Simm's question of "and then I'll turn into you?"

Yeh, there's nothing to indicate the doctor meets the master in chronological order. As the master had a new regeneration cycle post time war, we've only seen 3 canonical incarnations of him (Jacobi, Dhawan and Simm). That still leaves 8 more to go, with Missy being dead last. Pretty easy to presume that IMO.

I'm not sure where this lore comes from, but I know a LOT about The Deca from around the place. It's generally accepted that The Master is actually Koschei from House Oakdawn. As far as I'm aware, the members of The Deca are Theta Sigma (The Doctor), Koschei (The Master), Magnus (The War Chief), Ushas (The Rani), Rallon and Millennia (Who The Doctor takes to The Celestial Toymaker's dimension and gets killed), Mortimus, Drax, Jeplax, and Vansell (Who was known to work for the Celestial Intervention Agency). Jack Beheaded by the Monks- I have my own theory here. It could well be that he was beheaded by the Monks, but I like to think there's two Jacks going around. Jack was beheaded and simply regrew his head, and went off being the same person. This makes sense from a lore standpoint of the Monks, because they wouldn't have expected his body to grow a new head, so they probably left his un-killable body alone, allowing him to escape once he was healed. The body-less Jack however, that was beheaded by the Monks, is the entity that goes on to become the Face of Boe. The other Jack doesn't necessarily have to be aware of the Face of Boe, but I'd imagine that the beheaded Jack began to take on the name of "The Face of Boe" simply for lack of confusion, as that head would've probably known his body would regrow a new head and walk off as if nothing happened 😅

The idea of Abbott’s perfect companion is a very striking idea, and it immediately reminded me of Nardol from 12th’s tenure. The circumstances and results are very different, one meant to be a secret and the other upfront, but both Rose and Nardol could be identified as what the Doctor of either era would most desire. The young and romantic 10th would find perfection in an equally young and romantic companion, while the old and antisocial 12th might be most comfortable around a comical yet clever companion. It’s possible this connection is coincidental, as the case of Nardol lacks the surprise heartbreaking realization which the Abbott’s Perfect Companion concept is based around.

It's not so much that the chameleon circuit is broken so that it is stuck as the police box. It's broken in the sense that it keeps choosing to be a police box My favorite explanation for the police box camouflage was by Matt Smith The Doctor: "It’s camouflage. It’s disguised as a police telephone box from 1963. Every time the TARDIS materializes in a new location, within the first nanosecond of landing, it analyzes its surroundings, calculates a 12-dimensional data map of everything within a thousand mile radius, and determines which outer shell would blend in best with the environment…and then it disguises itself as a police telephone box from 1963." Which could also explain why the box can look a little different but it's always a police box

Its always was that initial save of him pre-arrival in the teleportation device buffer, body running for the same 2-ish days in the self-renewing castle, doing the same things because he never learned, and always ending sacrificing his matter to give enough energy to the teleporter to create the body with a mind who never lived through all this and had fresh memories of losing Clara. Plus unless every little bit helps, the purpose of this place to extract confessions in return of the monster backing out of relentless pursuit for a little while while smart I feel like is being cheated by the 'save scamming', yes he might say an array of small surface deep confessions depending on whats on his mind in the moment he considers truthful, but unimportant in the moment, it just seems to have been designed as a one withering unending stay in a place you cannot escape and no power to go back the way you came, until you die or spill enough secrets for them to 'retire' you.

My fan theory is that The Doctor is a Clockworker. They also have 2 hearts and regenerate, but they're far older and more powerful than Timelords. Also their DNA is extremely similar to human DNA. Think Iris Wildthyme.

I like the faction paradox guy because literally after backlash he realised he had no right to mess with the cannon anymore so chose to not mess with it anymore what's more than can be said for certain writers

The Timeless Children confirm Lungbarrow and the Cartmel Master Plan as all canon. This video needs updated to include all the canon plot holes filled in by The Timeless Children.
@DaringNote623 жыл бұрын
The Timeless Child doesn't fill in any plot holes it only creates them. Also Andrew Cartmell himself has said that the Timeless Child and the Cartmell master plan are two very different things

@@DaringNote62 lol. Name one plot hole created by The Timeless Child. This entire past season has filled in several , without a single retcon. The Cartmel Master Plan and The Timeless Child are not the same thing ; however, they do support each other.

@@markfernkopf5133 The Timeless Child Contradictions Episodic Problems In “An Unearthly Child” The Doctor is surprised to see that the TARDIS hasn’t changed appearance from a police box, so why is it that Ruth’s TARDIS is a police box? In “The Brain Of Morbius” we see what was believed to be previous faces of The Doctor (Pre Hartnell) so why is it that this is seen? This was only scanning The Doctors memories not his actual past. It’s like deleting a file off a USB and then trying to find in off that same USB later. And even if there was some way that the machine could see the faces, Sarah Jane was there so wouldn’t she have asked The Doctor who all the other faces were. It is also backed up in the big finish “Vengeance Of Morbius” That these were Morbius faces. In “The Trial Of A Timelord” we find out the Valeyard is an amalgamation of the doctors darker side between his 12th and final incarnation here to steal the 6th doctors regenerations, so if he’s the timeless child why would he need them because he has unlimited regenerations. In “The End Of The World” The Doctor is scanned and is registered as a Time Lord. But if he is the timeless child this shouldn’t be the case. In “The Girl In The Fireplace” why does Madam De Pompadour not realise he’s the timeless child when she’s in his mind? In “Smith And Jones” the Judoon are on the hunt for the Plasmavore. So when the scan the Doctor why did they not get a match that he was the fugitive they were looking for in “Fugitive Of The Judoon”? In “Sound Of The Drums” we find out that Doctor was made to look into the heart of the time vortex gaining his regeneration cycle. So why is it that he doesn’t notice he’s just been given a dose of something he already has? In “The Fires Of Pompeii” Lucius Petrus Dextrus says a prophecy and everything said turns out to be true. So why does he say The Doctor is from Gallifrey if the timeless child was from another universe. In “The Doctors Daughter” Jenny is created from the Doctors DNA so why does she not have the ability to regenerate? In “The Next Doctor” the Cyberman Info stamp has no information on the timeless child despite Ruth traveling the universe calling herself The Doctor. Some may argue that the War Doctor didn’t appear either but that is because the Cybermen were not involved in The Time War and he never called himself The Doctor. In “The End Of Time” Rassilon speaks of two children of Gallifrey that survived past the Time War. So why does he think the children of Gallifrey are The Doctor and The Master when he knows that The Doctor is not from Gallifrey. In “The Eleventh Hour” The Atraxi shows all the Doctors incarnations. But none of the timeless child incarnations appear despite the Ruth Doctor having been on Earth calling herself The Doctor. In “A Goodman Goes To War” we find out that River is Amy and Rory’s daughter. She has the ability to regenerate because she was conceived in the TARDIS, but if the timeless child is true then you don’t get regeneration due to exposure to the time vortex so it makes no sense. In “The Name Of The Doctor” Clara enters the doctors time stream and sees all the previous Doctors. So why is it she doesn’t see the timeless child? And this isn’t going into the Doctors memories; this is going into his actual timeline. Even the war doctor appears, a person the doctor actively tried to suppress. In “The Time Of The Doctor” why does The Doctor need a new regeneration cycle when if he’s the timeless child he should have unlimited regenerations. In “Listen” the Gallifreyan caretaker says “He’ll never make a Timelord” when referring to the Doctor. But if the Doctor is the timeless child there should be no doubt about it. In “Hell Bent” Rassilon says “How many regenerations did we grant you?” why would he say that when he knows The Doctor is the timeless child and is immortal. In “Twice Upon A Time” The Doctor says The Daleks have the biggest database he knows of, so why is it that they have no record of the timeless child when we know at least one pre Hartnell Doctor is travelling the universe calling herself the Doctor (Ruth) Miscellaneous Problems Why would the Timelords allow the doctor to wander the universe when they know he holds the key to immortality? The Doctor is bad at regenerating (The Twin Dilemma, Time And The Rani, The Movie, The Christmas Invasion). So why it that the original host of Timelord regeneration is is worse than the people who just copied it off him? Why is it that The Timeless child is exactly the same biologically than the Shobogans (The race that found her)? With the Ruth Doctor being pre Hartnell she calls herself the doctor. So why is it that the first Doctor (William Hartnell) would also choose to go by the name Doctor? Problems In The Expanded Media The Doctor has an older brother (Irving Braxiatel) so why does he not know about the timeless child? In the far future The Doctor (then known as The Emperor) will be assassinated and dead for good. So if he’s the timeless child why does he not regenerate? There is all the plot holes I could find and if you would be so kind as to tell me all the plot holes it fixes it would be much appreciated.

@@DaringNote62 there's a lot there , but I will be happy to help you out , The Fugitive Doctor 's TARDIS Is stuck in the shape of a police box, specifically the Troughton-Pertwee only era police box Because she is an incarnation after Troughton but before Pertwee , quite simple really . All evidence shows this unilaterally, over two dozen facts confirm this and nothing suggests otherwise .

@@DaringNote62 The Doctor can sometimes remember, or almost remember the pre-Doctor incarnations, The 7th Doctor especially, The Fugitive Doctor is the only Doctor that had the memories of the entire Regeneration erased , as she was the only regeneration that worked for The Division , also the reconfirmation of the pre-Doctor incarnations and season 6B are two of the plot holes neatly filled in by this past season

Just wanted to pop in and say the term 'Great Houses' in Faction Paradox canon refers to the Houses of the Homeworld- the different bloodlines of Gallifreyan society, not TARDIS models. The canon's term for TARDIS is 'Timeship'. Many aliens are still referred to as aliens or even 'lesser races' as well, it's just that the groups which take part in the War in Heaven are so technologically / psionically advanced they may as well be gods to the other inhabitants of their universe. Also, Faction Paradox themselves are super weird and religious, being seen as an anti-establishment death cult by the other Homeworlders, hence where a lot of the spiritual language comes from. If anyone is curious about Faction Paradox, you may or may not be able to find a free version of the Book of the War, which has definitions for literally every canon term!

47:28 This noble act didn't stop Chibnall carrying on for three years. 48:53 Some time in the late 1960s or very early 70s you could buy a full sized Dalek in kit form. I think the price was something like £150, I can't remember exactly. I desperately wanted one but my dad, although intrigued, ultimately couldn't afford one. I believe that it wasn't just a free-standing model but it could be operated from inside using a tricycle. There was, unfortunately, no voice changer included.
