I made Alfyn into a hunter so he can put Leghold Trap in the final boss second phase. Alfyn imo is the most powerful traveler simply because his kit is so overloaded. Dohter's Charity + Concoct are way too good to put on a single character. Simply put, if Alfyn don't die, there's no way your party will die.

I find personally that Alfyn's physical damage output SUCKS but cleric Alfyn is goated. We all know who the next video is 👀

Don't know what you're smoking, but then again, he's so versatile anyway it really doesn't matter. I consider him the best character in the game for a reason. Never saw much point in making him a Cleric, which for some reason is a popular pick. He already has god tier healing through concoct, so the only reason you'd have him be a cleric is the occasional reflect strat and aelfric, both of which can be achieved by, say, giving ~~prim~~ another character cleric.

He can fill any job, really. Most important, give him Patience, Endless Items, Divine Aura (or Insult to Injury) and Saving Grace. He can lower Physical and Elemental Defense with essence of Grape and Plum respectively, as well as Nullify Buffs of the enemy party with Ruinous Dust+Curious Bloom.

Dancer Alfyn is good BECAUSE his speed sucks, dancer + speed focused equipement can fix his shitty speed to make him go early so he can pump up party's bp

I never understood the concoctions and I didn't really like Alfyn's starting class so I just used Ophelia as my main healer lol but its interesting to see the different ways people used him in their playthroughs

I disagree with the empoison not being good. In my experience it tends to do 1k damage per turn which is just a little on top of what he already does.

Making him a healer is pointless because he can already heal the team, much like making him a sorcerer is pointless also. To me, his secondary role is thiever. Stealing so and sharing so, as well as occasionally stealing his own material from enemies is perfect for me.
