Really? Wow, I'm lucky I didn't strike those reactors, that would have been so annoying. Although, I did strike a couple of reactors who would SING the lines!!! From that time on any reactor who described him/herself as a voice coach/teacher was thrown into the "do not recommend this channel" bin.

However, I wish that Taylor is able to show more credits to Jin rather that portrayed him as a joker and person who take care and cook for the group. JHope said Jin is the pillar & glue of the group. He is very grounded and monitor & guide the team at the background. PD Bang once said Jin is reliable, has his principle and is the only one in the team that has never changed since debut. RM relied a lot on Jin and requested Jin to be beside him in every big events in their earlier years. Jin is the one that break the ice when the members are nervous and don’t know what to say or react.

I think Jin is often overlooked in his contribution to the band, but it seems to me that he showed them all how to let his hair down and act silly to communicate good times. When they were younger Jin used to drive Jungkook to school so I think they got very close. I'm not sure that Jin does believe he is WWH, but he plays with it anyway. He is really quite a shy person. The award stats are way out of date, they have over 1000 now. Amazing, or not depending on how you look at it.

Helpful hint for the guide: Not sure if you know.... Korean people counted age differently to others... Korean Age vs International Age - difference is 1-2 years depending on if their birthday has been.... In most older videos, including this guide, they are giving Korean ages so you will need to adjust. The members were only 13-18 years old when they became trainees and 15-20 yo when they debuted. In Korea when you are born you are considered 1 year old. Then on 01 Jan every year you add another year to your age, no matter what your birthdate is. .... Year of birth - International age at Debut on 13June13 (Year and age became trainee) Jin 1992 - 20 yo (2011 - 18yo) Suga 1993- 20 yo (2011 - 17yo) Suga started with MIDI at 11 JHope 1994 - 19 yo (2011 - 17yo)JHope started dancing at 8 RM 1994 - 18 yo (2010 - 15yo) RM started rapping at 11 and was well known in the underground scene at 13 Jimin 1995 - 17 yo (2012 - 16yo) V 1995 - 17 yo (2011 - 15yo) JK 1997 - 15 yo (2011 - 13yo) JK signed with big hit at 13yo Rule of thumb - if it's before their birthday - subtract 2 years to get international age. if it's after their birthday - subtract 1 year to get their international age. EG: TaeHyung (V) born 30 Dec 1995 ...... current International Age 27 (Korean Age 29). ... 2 years difference So Tae born 30 Dec 95 is 1 year old, then on 01 Jan 96 he is 1 more year older (so they would say he is 2 years old, when we would say he is 2 days old.) So he was considered 29 in Korea since 01 January, we would say he is 27 turning 28 in Dec. It's a different way of looking at age, from new years day - Tae is living his 29th year (since conception) - instead of - he turned 27 (since birth).... Jin created that nickname for himself jokingly because in their early days, he went viral for several occasions because of his looks. In one of his vlives, one fan commented that he’s the most handsome but he corrected that fan and said, he did not say that he’s the most handsome instead he asked the fans to call him worldwide handsome not the most handsome. 😊

Jin calling himself WWH is his way of front-footing the visual concept and making it a lighthearted jest. When he was asked if he considered himself the most handsome man in the world, he clarified that he is WWH because he is considered handsome in any place but there are many guys more handsome than him.

thanks for reacting! bts and k-pop have truly inspired me in so many areas in my life - i even wrote a project on goffman’s theory applied to the trainee system. i am so thankful for bts, they came into my life when i thirteen, a student and completely going insane about school, n.o. was practically a saviour because i felt like no one else understood the pressure i was under at the time. they then got me through high school and are now getting me through university.

Great reaction video. Not sure if you know but BTS winning the Artist of the year daesang in 2016 was massive because BTS was not part of the big 3 KPOP companies. Their company was super small and at one point almost went bankrupt. BTS broke a record and showed that a little company could make it. I always go back to the 2016 MMA and MAMA wins because you can see the shock of holy cow we won. Here is the link for MMA 2016 kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXnCZH-fdrCopaM. Also know that BTS had been told that they would never make it, they were not good and so many other things. So these wins were massive for them. I know others have mentioned it but Korea had a different age system than everyone else. JK says he was 15 when he joined but he was actually 13 years old. The same goes for the rest of the group. Many times RM would tell the guys to give their international age so not to confuse people. This year Korea changed the system and now they are using the one we are all using. I say this so you can understand even more how in JK's case, he was raised by BTS and I personally believe he is the manifestation of all 6 members. You defiantly need to see In the Soop but if you can watch Taehyungs In the Soop: Friendcation with the Wooga squad also. Tae has also done a reality show called Jinny's Kitchen which he did with two of his actor friends from the Wooga Squad. BTS is one and only. Many have tried to make another BTS but they fail. BTS is not just a group, they are family. I love how they are still humble and true to themselves. I can't wait for 2025. So thankful my daughter and I were able to go to their concert in Las Vegas last year. Defiantly planning on going to another one once they get back from their military service. 💜Borahae💜

Thanks for your reaction to wonderful Taylor's wonderful documentary introducing BTS - it's slightly scary to recognise just how MUCH has changed since May 2022! I loved sharing your responses as people who already know so much. I've actually seen sooo many reactions to this, so I've seen it umpteen times, but loved watching it again with you. RM: his desire to work with music was strongly opposed by hit mum (and probably dad too). He was a top student (natch) and she thought he wasn't studying enough so she destroyed his mic. I think at some point she rethought it because I think she later bought him a production kit. And of course they must have approved him signing with BH. In the last 14 months his KOMCA credits have risen to more than 300. No IDEA what other records he has broken! He was 16(?) when he joined BH - in those early years BH was so short of funds (at one time sent everyone home because they couldn't pay wages: the rap line refused to go, because ... like, where could they go - THEY had no money!), and BTS knew they had to earn for the company. RM must have been most strongly aware of this, but still kept strong. They would get hate comments in English - he translated the hate into compliments for the members. Incredible emotional intelligence. Yoongi: was also strongly opposed by his parents - his mum burned up all his songs at one point and he had to start again. You remember their stage at the Olympic stadium, where he went into a deep formal bow towards one section of the audience, and wept. First time his parents had come to their concert and he realised that at last he had their approval. His parents were not well off so they must have felt a lot of pressure to guide him so that he would be able to survive, but at the end of the day, he knew better. Like RM (and the others, really) he was so much more wise than his years. JHope: every member of BTS assert that BTS could not exist w.o JHope. At one point he actually left: JK wept and begged him to stay, RM went to the company and said BTS needed JHope, they would not succeed without him. JHope said he came back for the other members, not for the company. They spent so many years being unable to see much of their family: when they had a meeting on JHope's birthday, staff arranged for a surprise phone call with his dad, JHope flooded. The sadness and acute missing for his parents was poignant. His mum also has a large corner of his heart: while his dad was initially against him pursuing dance, his mum took a second job to pay for classes. Hence "Hey Mama". Jin: whatever he believes about his handsomeness now, it is not Jin-root. There's a clip of him in the early time, walking through a public place with hie team, and a fan cries out "aaaah! you're so HANDSOME", Jin politely says, "Thank you", and promptly turns round and hides his face in the shoulder of the manager walking behind him. The manager vibrates with laughter. He's very friendly but also very shy and an introvert. "WWH" was a coping mechanism, even if now he's OK with it. Even if he now does know he IS handsome, I think he still clings to the mechanism in order to cope with some embarrassment - it means he now knows what to do when he's faced with it. Jin actually had to learn not only to dance in training, but to sing as well - and was for several years unsure of it. His diffidence certainly continues now, since he thinks he is less musical than others - but consider "Abyss" - one of the best songs on the real experience of depression I've ever heard. He is STILL diffident about his dance skills, and puts in extra work and focus to learn new pieces. He also has a story of his mum with her friends: she told him her friends were bragging about how well their sons were doing and she had to just sit quietly. Later, at an award show, he shared this and said, 'Mum I'm so glad that now I have done something so that you can be proud of your son' JK has been babied for much too long by ARMY. He's a grown man now and incredibly talented. He's stepping into himself and I look forward to seeing so much more. I never thought him innocent, though (well not for the last few years - of course when he came to Seoul at 13 yrs old, he was a BABY!).. Even then he's always been someone who runs at life full tilt, wants to experience EVERYTHING! And is determined to do it - it has been obvious for years. I'm not keen on Seven, but it displays his intense musicality. I believe he is incredibly intelligent, but he carries that intelligence in his body and his voice. I think he learns physically, and takes his joy in his body. It's instinctive. His lives, a 4 hour concert for ARMY (in his pyjamas!). I heard that recently his neighbours have been complaining about him singing too loud at home! Another member who seems diffident about his ability to write music, I have great hopes that he will find his voice and the words he needs for his lyrics and to tell his story. V: much loved, but I think diffident about his own music, too. Love his new song, and looking forward to the album. Will be so different from BTS chapter 1, but I sooo much look forward to his musical aesthetic being incorporated to the group dynamic! Also love his relationships with Wooga - try to watch In the Soop Friendcation - gorgeous people. He's not well enough recognised as an actor. When he was filming Hwarang he had no previous experience, and was fitting it into breaks for BTS world tour: they'd go back to Korea for a couple of days' break, V would head straight to set and film until they set off again for the next batch of concerts - he says he has no idea how he did it but he just said, I have to somehow. I also love his relationship with his family - before he agreed to try out he asked if he could call his dad - his dad checked if he really wanted to, and then said go for it. His love of kids is adorable too. ... His facial expressions .. not so much for me - my family all do the same, so it's no big deal for me (I personally have my own death stare too)! But he is beautiful Jimin: when you realise Jimin only had about 6 months training and had to learn to sing from scratch you need to step back in awe. BH couldn't afford voice lessons for him so he tagged along with JK and Jin and learned from them later in the dorm too. He is another who felt insecure about his craft for years - not any more! Dance he was OK about (his dance academy teacher took him on for no money because of his talent). He's the member who is probably the most private, giving away very little about his private life. That is fine, because we don't need to know those details to know him. He is also unafraid to speak out about unfairness : at some show or other an older brother in the audience was talking about being mad with his little sister for touching his stuff, and about hurting her to try to get her to stop. He asked how he could stop her, and Jimin just looked very hard and said, 'First, I think it is not OK for you to hurt your sister. She is someone precious that you should be protecting, not hurting' and you could tell he was really offended. ARMY, well, yeah. We still get called out by the ignorant though, and sometimes we can get defensive, but by far the greatest majority are incredibly supportive, not only of BTS but also of other ARMYs. I love that you had your own fan meet! Precious. Unsure what you know about Taylor - of course, another ARMY, she is a professional video editor for Orig Entertainment and is on a mission to make all her colleagues ARMY - it's going well. She and her boss, Jeff were gifted PTD LA (I think) tickets by an ARMY and of course they videod the experience to share. And while they were there, she and Jeff made a 2 part documentary interviewing ARMYs about how they found BTS and what they meant for them Very sweet. Available on Orig Explores channel. Thank you for this reaction. I've seen this video before but always happy to watch it again especially with you which is like watching something you love with good friends who share the love. Appreciate that you paused to discuss each member in turn and no need to apologise for taking the time, when we're talking about our guys, you can take all the time you want, lol! Just a clarification on our WWH, Jin was initially uncomfortable at being given the concept of visual and being told to look cool and handsome (you can see this discomfort in their early Festas) and he said so in their 2019 Festa dinner. He called himself WWH because he preferred to be known by a nickname that he conferred on himself (there's a video where he said this). There is also a video where he clarified that he is WWH but he is not the most handsome guy in the world; he is satisfied with how he looks but there are other guys more handsome than him. Confidence and humility in the one package! I also love how JK gives his hyungs credit for how he turned out. In Suchwita he said that he was lucky he got together with good guys; that if had been influenced by bad guys he would have turned out bad, too. Cannot end without expressing love for my other sweet boy V - the different one, you never know what he will come up with (even RM called him strange) but so thoughtful and passionate in his affection for the other members. Witness how he got upset every time Jin said he was not as good as the others or a burden to them. Also, V got me interested in BTS in the first place - that side-to-side swing he did in Hwarang while smiling so sweetly was so enchanting I just had to look him up.

Came back...was still asleep. Think about it? How CONFIDENT ARE YOU...to literally expose yourself (on cam) at your most vulnerable....to the World? I wouldn't - my cray cray arse SLEEP WALKS N SNORES haahahhahahahahha so forget that shit. Is strange. Where Jimin would be expected to be 'The One' to be most seductive/flirty with Army on VLive? He's obviously the most shy. Kookie broke some serious boundaries n kept millions enthralled whilst drinking his wine....getting drunk (LOLZ) and still replied to every comment... every time he went Live. Hey guys - lemme pause at 22:03. Have always LOVED YOUR CONTENT & that Batman mask is to die for!! As A West Indian Army Mom (56 yrs old) grew to love our boys from 2016 to now. If you ever make your way to my tiny Island? Please...come stay at my family Guest House #Zero charge. You'll be treated like family and spoilt by Ms.Shirley (Mummy)but I digress. About 4 plus yrs ago? A survey was released to Army. "If You Could Spend 24 hrs with ONE MEMBER OF BTS? WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE?.....Suga won hands down!! Now....although Kookie is my bias (closest in age to my son) so see him as a son and so proud of his growth? I also chose Suga. Why? Suga's IQ (although never publicly released) is close to RM's. and his English (back then) was on par with RM's. There are vids that been have 'scrubbed' off the net. Showing both in a kinda friendly/although HIGHLY competitive sort of vibe...with their English. Since Taylor's vid hit and is now like 'A BTS Bible' to Baby Army. Everyone has stuck to the Narrative presented. Suga was actually thought of as - like Snow White n the Seven Dwarves? He'd be 'Grumpy'. many behind the scenes (which may also be wiped) showed him literally exhausted and falling asleep...even during interviews. This is 'cos....he slept the least. Surviving on 3 or less hrs/night. Turns out.....he was PUSHING HIMSELF SO HARD? WAS LITERALLY COMPOSING/producing a song - EVERY SINGLE DAY. Whether for BTS or other singers. He once did 365 songs in one yr and came close to burn out. So when: He was FORCED to have his shoulder surgery? It was not just ( killing him to do those rigorous dance routines)....was - he was near collapsing from exhaustion. Those months spent in recuperation did him a WORLD OF GOOD...and caused a serious (well needed) 're-set'. Dropped his insane schedule of pushing himself and learned to 'relax'. Perhaps that's why he won the survey? Army (knowing of his battle with chronic depression toped with exhaustion) were really worried back then. Thank God he made it through those dark times with the overwhelming love n support around him. Anyhoo........that's just my 2 cents. Having seen probs thousands of vids over the yrs an dove DEEP DOWN that BTS Rabbit Hole. PURPLE YOU ARMY 💜💜💜💜

I wish Taylor would change and show Jin in a better light instead of him being childish, cooking, etc. he is way more than that. He really is super handsome despite him saying he is joking. It’s been proven many times. He is super athletic and super intelligent but always downplays it. He is self deprecating and not conceited.

This has been one of my favourite reactions to Taylors guide. Jungkook was actually 14. They only changed the Korean method for age calculation this year. So everybody in Korea is now 1 year younger. I caught something once where some expert told management that as V grew he would become one of the most handsome of the group because of his bone structure.

Since May 2022 so much has happened. They’ve added to their award count and accolades. Busan concert. After this video came the ‘solo era’, starting with J-Hope in July 2022 dropping Jack In The Box. They all kept on rolling from there, new music, Lolla, Suga’s tour. I’m hoping one day Taylor either makes a new video to come up to date, or do an add on to this video. Edit: And everyone’s song writing credits, have increased. 😀
