I have a Djeru deck too!! Mine uses all the walkers that make tokens to protect each other, and then makes multiple Gideon Ally of Zendikar emblems to make them all big. In the early game, Karn Scion of Urza makes big tokens when you don’t need the card advantage, and Ugin the Ineffable provides both. Having an active Emeria the Sky Ruin lets Djeru recklessly attack and block each turn and have him come back and tutor more often. While having Mistveil Plains let’s you keep getting Ally of Zendikar back into your library for more emblems.

I'm glad someone's doing justice to this commander. People constantly critique mono white as lacking card advantage, but planeswalkers can act as psuedo advantage through repeated activations. The best spice I've seen is running Painter's servant so ugin can -0 and nuke everyones lands

With the pillow-fort strategy in mind, a great card draw option would be playing around the monarch- e.g. Palace Jailer, Palace Sentinels, Throne of the high city! Credit to Commander's Quarters for telling us about these cards

Amazing video! I'm always surprised by these mono white builds. Another one I really liked was Sram, Senior Edificer, which was once played on Game Knights IIRC. One observation: Approach of the Second Sun does not have to resolve twice, it only has to resolve the second time. The first time it only needs to be cast. (If the first time it is countered, of course it ends up in the graveyard, where it may be even easier to get back and cast again.)

Personally my favorite mono white commander is Zetalpa-tron, get in early equipment and creatures and finish them with Zetalpa since late game. Typically you'll have a good set up for the Elder Dinosaur by the time you can cast it and some of the equipment wielded by Zetalpa can instant win games with commander damage, survives most board wipes and all around seems to keep opponents from bugging you when Zetalpa is out. Funny how I used Sram originally but Sram got so much hate that they had to scram and become one of the 99 instead :P

Tbh I think this deck could be more efficient and have the price lowered. It's definately an older player's deck as it has a lot of old cards with modern superior replaces, a few jank old cards, and a few totally unnessicary pricey cards.

Get the hyper expensive cards bootleg'd. If you're not playing commander with anyone extremely serious or diehard about your whole deck being "real", just get high level proxies at a fraction of the price that look near identical. I hate that price is preventing people from having fun.

I use to run it, but I would almost always miss on it and for its higher mana cost it was mostly a dead card in my hand. I use to run the 3 drop call the gatewatch, but being a sorcery, ignite the beacon was an easy trade for me so I could use it off turn.

you don't have to resolve Approach of the Second Sun twice. You only have to resolve the second one. if i does get countered the first time, you have to get it out of the graveyard to cast it again of course.

I wrote this to another comments bout why not wrath of god, I don't run wrath or god, because with the only upside being they can't be regenerated, which regeneration is all but not used anymore, the 4 mana is nice, but I need maximum value out of my wipes with what else they do. *Also since Theros I have not updated the deck because of this video was being working on, but I am strongly considering Heliods intervention and the Nyx, I am not sure about the new Elspeth I want to like it, but it seems ehhhh ** Winds of abandon is one I keep going back and forth with, but my testing with it makes it normally fall to I have the 5 drop wipes which work better for the time being, but it is on my radar
