A Guide To Driving The Blue Ridge Parkway

The Blue Ridge Parkway is one of the most beautiful parts of the United States East Coast. The 469 mile route travels along the "Blue Ridge" of the Appalachian Mountains and contains some incredible natural scenery. On this journey from Shenandoah National Park to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, we visit a number of sites along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Must See Destinations:
Crabtree Falls: 60 foot tall waterfall that you can get close up to
Mt. Mitchell: The tallest peak in the United States east of the Mississippi River
Craggy Gardens: Beautiful rhododendron flowers and open vistas of the surrounding landscape
Graveyard Fields: A high elevation meadowland featuring the impressive Yellowstone Prong River

Bored to tears, exited after 1 hour. I guess I'm spoiled growing up in Utah and now living in Colorado. They charged me $30 just 4 weeks ago to enter park. Used my $80 National Park pass. Hit about 12 Natiomal Parks on this roadtrip.

What month of the year did you go there ?

I went during the month of June. I think it’s a good time of year because you’ll get to see some late season azaleas and rhododendrons and the waterfalls will be great. That being said, June is when the area does start to get busier so I think shoulder months like May and September/October are also great times to visit!

You seem stressed by this… hopefully now that it’s been several months, you should have aged a bit and may have become more aware that people pronounce words differently. It’s called an accent and often it’s dependent on region. Hope you learn to live and explore the world to hear the way other people pronounce many words.
