Also, its easy to make your heir legendary blademaster by sending them to battle as the only knight, but be sure to pick only battles that are sure to win, and have a good physician

Of note: you CAN get Berserker. If one of your knights is a Berserker, there's a chance for an event that gives a chance of you becoming a Berserker... but be warned, you might accidentally kill your knight in the process.

The berseker train can be acquired by the player character. On the playthrough I started yesterday as a norse character near the end of my rule when I was around 50-60 years old a champion of mine who was also a berseker approached me, asked me if I wanted to be taught the ways of the berserkers. Great trait actually, with funny interactions, I walked in my court and my wife and my son were arguing and one of the responses was "RAAAAAARG" :D

I think North Germanic characters can actually acquire the Berserker trait now, through a Northern Lords event. It has the risk of killing your close family members, so maybe it's not recommended.

I got it as the Norse count in the Bretony starting location in 867, I ended up killing my wife, the knight who was training me, a couple of my vassals, and like 5 of my other knights 10/10 would it again!

This system (or similar) comes from a CK2 Mod if not mistaken. I am glad they add it to CK3

I believe they added single-combat in CK2 as well, near the end? I can't remember for the life of me now - feels like it was ages ago. Pretty cool of them to be inspired by some of the great mods out there, though!

@@thegermanicus9354 dont need to be rude. I read this and still cannot winm a single battle. The mechamics are broken. There might be tricks to do win, but its stupid you need to find answers on the internet, and am unable to figure it out while playing. Is that so hard to understand?

ive been able to get beserker as the player character. I got a random event where someone (I dont remember what he was, marshal maybe? but for sure in my court) offered to train me to be a beserker. You can go ahead or decline, if you do it, someone dies (idk if its random, but it doesnt say who does until you do it). In my case my character murdered my 2nd son and got a lot of stress for it, but also gained the trait

There is an error: The player _can_ get the Berserker trait, it comes from an event you get while dreaming. Haven't figured out how to trigger it yet though

Strangely, even though myartial is above the target and prowess is the same it seems impossible to win, I tried to savescum a duel many times, and not once I was a victor.

Me too. For me this and comments from others, like you make me believe this game mechanic is broken. The whole dualing system is a joke. You do not know how strong you are, you do not know if your oppenent is trong, has a berserker trait...or am i missing something? Lost all fights sofar, with different characters. Carefull aproach, agressive approach, lost, lost and lost all the the time. So what do you do? Avoid the fights, all the time. Utterly broken, what a shame.

What is the starwal leader perk ?

I had 42 prowess and my opponent had 10... I lost the duel because I thought prowess would carry me and I pick random options. Smh

I had 6 of prowess and another guy had 12, he challenged me and i taunted him in Battle, he made a mistake and i charged against him and wounded him, a few years later there was a plot to kill me and he turned out to be the guy, so i imprisoned him, and killed It. My character was fucking his wife so it is pretty undertsandable that he hated me. He actually was a némesis, not even a rival.

Mostly prestige and prowess i belive, also you can humiliate rivals, in general you don't have to deul anybody it's just a bonus for your dynasty
