Lots of snow about, and now it’s starting to melt the rivers will be coming up !!! Won’t be long before our trees start to blossom as well and the weather starts to pick up. …. Thank you made glad you enjoyed it! Suzuki run all the rivers of Tokyo so if you see water get casting! But they like to feed at night rather in the day, especially lure wise! Not sure why my friend but apparently how it’s meant to go!! Thank you again for watching mate!

Excellent video on different fishing culture , was that seabass knocked on the head or left to die in the tray though ? , I don't kill fish any more , but when I did , I always had a "priest " . From the bend in your rod , looks like they live up to their hard fighting reputation .
@japanesefishingadventures Жыл бұрын
Thank you mate and no I’ve always used a priest myself, but the fish was kept in a well with fresh sea water constantly going into it, almost like a live bait well. Then it was knocked straight on the head and gutted in under a minute. So as killing a fish goes I was fairly comfortable with it as it didn’t feel any pain. Albeit keeping it in a well isn’t amazing, but it was pretty deep and the fish was alive and kicking prior to being knocked on the head so it wasn’t in discomfort - if that makes sense 🤣 They certainly fight hard and wow they put up a scrap! Thank you as always for watching and commenting 😃

Gotta work on that hook set
@JoshuaTree-dq8cj7 ай бұрын
I know this is an old video but in the beiginning your hooksets aren't making any sense. Generally best practice is to keep as much tenion in the line as possible by pointing your rod tip upwards and moving against the direction of the fish. If you keep the tip low like you do in the beginning, the fish (blackbass especially) will shake the hook out. Also black bass is an umbrella term for all fish in the genus micropterus which includes largemouth, smallmouth, spotted bass etc.
@japanesefishingadventures7 ай бұрын
Thanks for the advice mate much appreciated and safe to say being from the UK we don’t do much black/largemouth fishing! But won’t lie to you I was all over the place in that boat and was more concerned about both me and my camera ending up in the water - so the technicalities may have been missed!
