Single blade nippers are a game changers. So much better than even high end normal ones. Single blade nippers actually cut straight through the plastic instead of forcing the plastic to the side and damaging it

I'm a steel erector ( I build commercial and industrial steel buildings , so I have a bunch of specialized tools I also use while working on models. One thing I use is a bit for drilling called a " Uni bit , its awesome for drilling exact holes and looks like the horn of a unicorn hence the name. They are rather expensive but if your not using it on steel you will probably never dull the bit.

Tools for green stuff sculpting? Or green stuff in general? I’ve started getting into it and love it and very quickly trying to do more and more ambitious thing but I lack the tools to do so as I’ve no clue what to use. This video was redundant for me but it’s been layed out amazingly so it was a pleasure to watch regardless!

I like to use mini woodworking clamps. I personally love the wolfcraft brand (altough there are many generic brand ones), but that perticular brand may be hard to find outside germany/europe. I use them to hold pieces together while the glue cures.

4:43- I don’t know if you have heard of them but the files I have and use are (I think there called) diamond trimmers….. or maybe they are called diamond files!?! I don’t remember. I got them a very long time ago (at least over 15 years ago). But I was on a business trip for work and the tool crib attendant gave me two sets of them saying that I might find a good use for them! But besides helping a family member or a friend pick a lock (legally and only the thinnest one and the strangest one) I never used them. And after I used up the file I got from one of my starter sets when I got into modeling (almost 3 years ago) I went through my storage and junk boxes and found one of the two sets! Works great!!! And a couple of the files works way too well lol

One thing i've always wondered is aome kits you'd recommend for their components spdcifically? Say a kit great for smaller decorative pieces or a kit good for kitbashing weapons. As for the series, the idea is great! Cannot wait to see what comes of it. It's always nice learning new tricks

I dont kno if you've tried one before but Id recommend a jewellers saw, so many time on your live stream ive seen you need to make a cut that a jewellery saw would make such easy work of. Its the equivalent of going from a box cutter to a scalpel as your "hobby knife" 🙂

Im surprised you don’t use tamiya extra thin cement glue as it has the same brush like end as the plastic magic. Definitely excited to see more along with the kitbashes.

I definitely love this, and thanks for putting all of this together in one place. I don't know if it is still kitbashing if I've never had a kit, but cobbling together the bits I do have will be much easier with these tips, and I am excited to try pinning for the first time.

There's a few things that I would like to know to learn how to kitbash on my own and not just copy tutorials. Like how to decide on which kits to use for a project or what to look for in components to know if it would be a good fit for an idea or tips and tricks for sculpting.

Alright, was already happy with the Magic Glue which I picked up after one of your videos, so now I also ordered the scalpel. Only wish I knew about the nippers earlier, cause I already had an order from RGG, but now I had to pay shipping again, but eh, gonna be worth it.

Very cool. I like the (um words are running from my brain! Ugh) drill bit. But I’m thinking about getting another one because I pretty much only use 2 sizes. I don’t know what the number of the sizes are but 1 is the second to smallest one I have and the other is the 3rd to the biggest ones I have. And the bigger one is a pain in the a$$ to get in EVERY time I need to switch!!! And having a second one would definitely make my life easier. I’ve never done the pinning or pitting or whatever you called it before! But I’m definitely going to try the next time I have a chance to. I still don’t get what “magic plastic glue” is!?! From what I’ve heard and kinda thought is that you put it on the spots before you apply the plastic glue. Then after both of those you put it together and it’s supposed to make it perfect?!? But that still makes no sense to me…….. I get cheaper super glue though. The stuff you can get at Home Depot or a grocery store! But I do have plastic glue as well for all the parts I glue before I prime. I’ve never understood full assembly before priming (most of the time)! And I find it funny when I’m watching a video from a “pro painter” that preaches full assembly always and has to skip spots and places because they can’t get to them!?! Lol Yeah, their pictures might make them look great but if I had your model in my hand I would be able to see all the spots you missed!!! Ok, I’ll stop lol I bet this comment is already insanely long!!!

Ok, everyone drop their tools, especially if you hate the nub cleanups after clipping off parts from sprues: I ordered the RGG nippers after this video and just used them. It's insane how much better they are to my army painter or generic ones!

Is it possible to sharpen a pair of nippers that have seen a lot of use to prolong their longevity, or is it best just to put them out to pasture and buy a new pair? Thank you so much for these videos, by the way. As an apprentice conversion monkey they're a goldmine for ideas and tips.

The link to the 10A blades no longer works. Could you update them? Curious which particular ones you prefer. I have noticed that is a difference in quality if if they cost the same.
