Great video, I live in Busan and have done this trip a couple of times. Always fun. One small thing to note though at 18:30 You can only take a fully assembled bike on the subway in Busan on weekends and holidays. Trust me, I found that out the hard way! You can sometimes sneak it on during the quieter times during the week if you're lucky, but during busy times you'll be kicked off!

Great video and thank you for putting it together. I fly into Seoul on a Wednesday morning at 6:30AM and I wanted to know if it possible to bike from the airport to the start of the path? It’s obviously easier for me to assemble the bike there. Thanks so much for your help.
@lostthenfound
@lostthenfound 4 ай бұрын
Thanks a lot @patrickshoniker3268! You can't bike from Incheon Airport to the bike path because the bridge doesn't allow bikes. You can take the subway or taxi with your bike in a box, or you can assemble your bike at the airport and ride to the ferry terminal here naver.me/xevjnYzK that leaves every hour from 7:30 AM, 8:30 AM, 9:30 AM...etc until 6:30 PM to get to Wolmi-do, and then bike to the start of the trail from there.

@coachriteshpatel thank you so much! Really appreciate it! I don't think it was 100% safe to be honest, but we used the Mavic Air 2 for most of the shots in this video. I just fly the drone up high enough and hold the right stick in one direction while cycling at the same time and it tends to work out better than the automatic modes in my opinion. For transport from Incheon to Mapo we used the KAL Limo Bus 6702 (there is another operator in the reverse direction as well) - They were happy to take the Tandem bike box we had. We also discovered that this is not universal on our second trip, so you need to check the bus company's policies. BTW the best video I have seen regarding this path - well done! Nice balance of commentary and video!

Hey everyone - this video and the comments were a huge help to me in planning this aweome journey, so here's my 7-day itinerary in the hopes it can help someone else plan. For reference, I am 28M, pretty fit (gym 3x/week, walk everywhere, love hiking), live in Korea (no jet lag or culture shock), and had never done long-distance cycling prior to this. DAY 1, 85 km - Incheon to Yangsu DAY 2, 93km - Yangsu to Anseong DAY 3, 76km - Anseong to Munyeong (this day has the mega hill, hence lower distance. the hill is franly not that bad tho) DAY 4, 72km - Munyeong to Nakdanbo (the worst food/lodging of all these stops, but still totally fine) DAY 5, 78km - Nakdanbo to Daegu DAY 6, 100km - Daegu to Namji (has a very steep [but fairly short] hill, and a pretty long/steep forest section. My hardest day, especially considering the constant monsoon rains lol, but still manageable) DAY 7, 91km, Namji to Busan (almost all flat and scenic, great finisher) PLS NOTE I live in Daegu and had to work 2 days between day 5 and 6 of the ride. If I had not had those 2 days off, day 6 may have been pure suffering. If you had better luck with weather for the harder days, or were perhaps a more experienced cyclist, I think this itinerary would be extremely well balanced and enjoyable the whole way through. Even as it was I loved every second.
@lostthenfound
@lostthenfound Ай бұрын
@@EnterAnders thanks so much for sharing your itinerary! Looks like a good one, and 7 days is a good length for people who are fit and still want to get some good sightseeing in. You can return the bike when you arrive in Busan as well, as they have another store there.
