As an FYI - if you're using the ritual method he touches on at 23:03, the best xp you can get is using a tier 3 ritual and hitting 700% attraction.

For T90 upgrades, for those that don't know: Araxxor you can dart both phases and use the cloth on the corps. You can kill telos at 0% enrage easily, and dart the last phase to get the drop. (I don't boss, before this I killed Bandos in gwd1 in like 09, this was new and I did it first try). For the Ambassador you can dart the first 2 bosses, go with a friend and tag the boss with necromancy once, then he can dart or kill him with whatever and you will get the drop.

some things to note, mogres mini quest is required to be able to kill mogres to get the flippers sometimes flippers wont drop, and you have to return to the necromancy smithy and repeat AND FINISH the dialogue to be able to get the flippers drop after using the ankou agitator, killing the ankou is not required, although they will become aggressive towards you. use the agitator enough times, and eventually a level 70-something ankou will spawn (a stronger variant). this stronger variant ankou has to be killed and is the ankou that will drop the ankou residue.

Also note that 6:00 not only does it keep your inventory clean but it means right clicking and "repairing all" and doing new rituals will automatically consume the items instead of you having to do it more manually.

For ankous: You need to hit around 5-10 of them with the 'Ankou Agitator' then a level 72 bigger looking ankou will spawn. You need to kill it for it to drop the 'Ankou Residue' which you need for the tier 60 miniquest from kili. Hope this helps!

16:00 I'd also mention that the kiln cape is not just decent, it's second to BIS stat wise so it's not a bad cape at that level. Prior to that I found skillcapes or the ardougne cloak decent alternatives, though the soul cloaks from Memory of Nomad are of course the fashionable choice if you want to cut a few damage points in favor of prayer bonus. I'd also say on the topic of prayers *stop being stubborn and swap back to regular prayers until level 90.* Necromancer-piety and prot prayers is way better than leech curses for training.

This may be obvious but you can use overloads to boost your necro lvl significantly, since it is indeed a combat skill. Helps get those glyphs pretty early especially with elder overloads ;)

However, caution should be taken with the potential cost of the over loads. At lv 60 I would say normal necro potions are good enough. Save the higher boost overloads for accessing the multiply 3 glyph.

I’ve just returned to RuneScape after about a 10 year hiatus and boy did a lot change. I started off with about a month or so of just using legacy in f2p mainly to level up ranged to match it with my other combat skills while I familiarized myself with the new mechanics. My next step is to get necromancy up once I become p2p. These guides have been so helpful in explaining what’s available now. Plus the explanation of abilities is super helpful for someone who has been gone as long as I have. One this is for certain; it’s SO much easier to level up now.

FYI for 21:35 , You can completely afk at Abyssal Savages with a dragonhorn (or split dragontooth) necklace, 3 pieces of cryptbloom for Animate Dead (I went head/boots/gloves) and protection from magic prayer on only. You can revo Putrid Zombie (you should have the detonate talent point at this time), Scythe, Soul Strike, Vengeful Ghost, Death Skulls, and Soul Sap in that order to afk. Just in case, added one more slot for soul siphon, but I did not need it. I did this from 70 to 80 Necromancy and it was amazing. Will probably continue to do it until 99! Allows for at least 5 minute afk timers for overloads, but I would try and keep 2 rolling for the animate dead timer.

Putrid zombie aoe part of it ability count as poison damage and reduce experience, I notice it otherday cuz I notice exp tick was off. I assume that why hermod isn't immune as gotta make sure all necromancy abilities/familars are able to work properly.. so mean they gotta make him vul. to it. I personally recommend holding off on using mementos and the other hard to get bones until you can max out the ritual with Multiply 3 glyphs. You're not getting very many of them yourself, and it's gonna take a good while for the price to settle out.

a useful thing me and a few clan mates found. Hermod can be massed too and drops individual loot for all players in the instance. It's good grinding out your plates like this as he's also pretty good combat xp because his health scales and when he spawns minions you can use the threads of fate incantation into finger of death for great aoe necro damage/xp each time. cheers and good luck on the grind yall

Bound skeleton's aren't too bad to afk if you can keep prayer up. It's about 400k an hr xp in POD. and pretty afk. They also drop a lot of super restore (1) so you can keep prayer up without using a ton of your own resources.

For the level 60 miniquest where you fight "at least level 70" enemies I went with abberant spectres since they're also vulnerable to the ghost hunter outfit and salve(e) which will help your accuracy since you're fighting something higher than your necro level. That outfit is also incredible for the mid tier necro boss. Between it and the salve(e) you will tear through him.

Correction you'll get the fragments from nex regardless, but you won't get the normal drops . So you just have to attack next during all 4 phases but you don't need to be the one doing the most damage

In my experience if you're wanting to save time without annihilating your cash stack, buy *necroplasm.* A fair amount of people are selling it since it's easy to make and you get respectable necro xp while making it. The part everyone is trying to avoid that they pay so much extra for is making the individual vials of ink. Unfortunately it's not herblore so none of the procs to save items work on it, but it's a lot less time consuming if you already have the necroplasm off the GE and go to either the abyss or haunted mine mushrooms for quick ashes. The last thing you want is to be saying "damn, I need to make more ink" and have that start with changing your entire glyph setup into ink production, which of course costs _even more ink._ Inversely of course, if you don't care about leveling fast, _make and sell ink to lazy people._ The higher the better.

The Abyss is not bad afk if you can get a spot, you bring a GOTE and a Backpack full of porters and you can get 300K+ xp an hr an tons of ashs... More rewarding that dropping fungal because you actually get xp.

Was doing kril after level 72 power amour. Had 40 seconds per kill with BiS and perks. At 80 was 30 seconds. At 90, just the weapons t90, it's from 15-25 seconds a kill. 15m an hour with the rates of subj rn. solid 300m+ gain with 120k+ xp hour. Nbd nbd.

hey i got a suggestion.. So at 95 i suggest not using overloads for Multi3 .. you can get it with the standard necro potion that is super cheap and lets face it wasting overloads is awful specially now with the new recipe lol

I’ve really enjoyed Necro so far. Personally not a fan of the requirements to unlock the armour tiers as I am not a high mechanic pvmer so will end up buying the power armour as part from rax I haven’t tried the other 4 bosses required to get tier 90 armour. All other armour / weapons in other 3 combat styles only have limits of the actual skill level. Or change the tasks required to make it more kill count but easier bosses for those than aren’t pro pvms

But I have to have crafted them at least once before I can use them. Just seems daft to lock content away. Why isn’t this a requirement for noxious weapons you can buy and use them without ever killing araxor. Given how much the boss is being farmed won’t be long till I can just buy tier 95s so the tier 90s will be redundant anyway.

Everything up to Arraxor/Arraxi is brain dead content with Necro. Slap a rev bar set up on and watch your health. No food needed with proper use of ghost and the blood siphon ability you have with Necro. Super easy, super simple, super straight forward. I'm about 150kxp from Lv80 necromancy and I have to admit, I'm kinda bored with it by now. Combat training is difficult to find good places that aren't populated by a bunch of people, Hermod got boring pretty quickly, and rituals are...just the worst.

Its a pain in the ass to find worlds, you're completely right. Doing slayer tasks might make it better (or accept lower xp in a different less packed spot). After a few weeks it should become less packed I reckon

3 years ago with archaeology release, I only took 17 days before my remaxing. Reason why I had enough time since archaeology: because of 2020 Hard Lockdown (archaeology is longer to take to reach 99 than Necromancy).

17:45 isn't the case (or not anymore). In an instance at least, your friend can carry you hard and do more of the damage.

I hear a lot of people saying that arch was better than necro but tbh, arch had us jumping back and forth to different sites at random levels. Plus it was slow af. Also, it wasn't a whole new combat style. With it being so OP, I've been able to breeze through content I couldn't complete before. I think necro takes the cake for the best skill ever added to RS3.

Deathwarden tank armor makes Nex an absolute cake walk. Hardly any damage taken, and a lot of damage issued. Just spawn your skeleton and ghost, ezpz.

Levels 5-35 should be done exclusively gathering souls with rituals as doing this will give you exactly the amount of souls you will need once you hit 40 for the new talents. If you trained to 30 and then did this, the exp is negligible and is much more valuable at lower levels. You then go kill stuff for 35 to 40. Combat training is much slower earlier so it makes much more sense to do the combat after the rituals rather than before. Waiting untill 35 to do them is a massive time loss
