A Guide to Lubricating O-Rings

I used white lithium grease from home Depot on a o ring in my pool pump release and now it's always hard to backwash the pump takes allot of strength to pull it up how can I fix using the wrong grease

Try to clean it off as best you can with a rag and apply the correct lubricant. If this doesn't work, you may have to purchase a new o-ring.
