Not really, think about it, watching a video explain everything is fun and easy. But to remember every detail so that you can use it to score in exams is tough. Once you have to memorise stuff, it gets difficult.

When I was in college I had a teacher with a pronounced accent. One day the chair of our department had to fill in for him(The only time this ever happened) and a student complained about our teachers accent. The Chair said "One day when you are out in the real world, you will have peers and managers with the exact same accent, so YOU had better figure it out". In my years of professional experience, he was right.

I remember having to actually read a good bit of the Parker O-ring Handbook while designing a component for my school's FSAE car about 13 years ago. This summarizes the key points beautifully. Now where the heck was this video 13 years ago!? Seriously, good job! Also, for viewers: when in doubt, incorporate a plug seal in your design. You don't run into the face seal component deflection problems and if you do it right, you only need one external groove that's easy to make & change seals on.

Working in automotive, i find that the heat cycles consistently cause o-rings and like seals to fail, causing oil leaks. While cooling systems are not as prone to failure, o-rings used in oil only applications have a tendency to harden due to heat exchange and essentially become plastic, losing any and all sealng capabilities they once had.

Information: A+. Great info. Learned quite a bit! Video: A+. Great visual representation & aids. Audio Track: C. The volume wasn't equalized and the woman speaking a bit softer was harder to hear than the male speaker. The overall volume was also quite low and really had to crank my volume up. The redeeming factor in the audio was that it did sound quite good once I was actually able to hear it 😉

Would you be able to explain the actual squeeze listed in the parker o-ring handbook on the page where it has the width and depth. Very nice. I have an application where my static rod will be between two sizes. I.e a 113 Buna N O ring will have a 9% stretch but a 114 will have about 0.5%. The 113 feels about right using a 50 durometer i.e soft O ring. The application will run at up to 230F. I think a 113/50 is about the best choice in this application.

If it makes you feel better, this is a super light and easy to grasp part of mechanical engineering, closer to design and machining than engineering itself. Mech Eng involves a ton of really nasty maths-heavy stuff like fluid dynamics, kinematics, control theory, static analysis and numerical computing that is significantly less intuitive.
