The Miku Expo 2021 is over. I hope you attended it and had a great time! Things that changed: *Miku Expo Digital Stars will not stream on KZbin, they've moved to Twitch.* The Twitter of Miku Expo 2021 has tweeted yesterday (24th of May) that Digital Stars will not stream to KZbin anymore. Their Twitch: www.twitch.tv/cfm_official The concert, pre-show and Digital Stars Radio (yes it's different) is unchanged and will still be streamed on Twitch and KZbin. If you really want to buy Miku Expo goods, you can buy ME2020 US & Canada goods on mikumerch.com *wowaka tribute might not be there* They might replace it with something _like_ a wowaka tribute but not really. For people wondering why senbonzakura is disliked, it's bc it's a bit controversial in China and South Korea (due to 'imperialist subtext', apparently it doesn't even appear in the Korean version of Project Diva), and they have a moderately big Vocaloid fanbase.

I'm actually from China and honestly? Senbonzakura is a staple song for us too. In full context, it's actually against the idea of war, imperialism and the rest. Aside from newbies not knowing anything, or non-fandom people not bothering to research the lyrics and all the imagery and context, it's key to us too. There's actually been so many lyrical analyses in Chinese in favour of Senbonzakura as well.

Hopeful, but honestly not expecting much. :( The live concerts they've done that either had no audience, or where the audience was silent, were totally lacking in the energy I've come to expect from Miku shows and I can't see there being any change for this one unless they "simulate" an audience. :( That being said, I threw a stupid amount of money at the crowdfunder and I'll definitely be there with glowsticks in hand on June 5th, hoping for some magic. :)

Wait a minute, why doesn't CFM like the older songs like Senbonzakura? Despite being old, they're still highly regarded in the fanbase. Or at least I think. Have these songs fallen out of popularity or is CFM sick of making merch for them? Edit: I remember watching that video and feeling the adrenaline race in me. I had never felt that excited in 2020. Vocaloid and everyone involved in it are such a blessing.

Older songs have been disappearing from concert set lists, probably because of their age. They haven't said but it might be because Senbonzakura (and others) have already been used many times in past Miku Expos and Magical Mirai's and there are newer, more popular songs to replace them. If not, they'll end up having the same songs every concert every time. Maybe that's why.

@@daveejonesey I don't think it's a matter of popularity in that case personally. Senbonzakura is one of the most famous Vocaloid songs and they perform it at least once every year (nearly, sometimes dozens depending on the tour setlist lol) I think it's more of a matter of; there are so many vocaloid songs being released by thousands of producers every year that for Massive events (like magical Mirai) they simply try to use MM as a way to bring these new songs into the setlist. But then you have miku expo which sprinkles at least a good 10 classic "old" vocaloid songs because that's what a lot of fans want to hear It's also worth noting the *really Old* songs came back last year. Eh Ah Sou and Albino. Not only that, but Secret Police being featured in a magical Mirai for the first time ever. I feel that they finally realized it's been so long that it's acceptable to add some of the more classic concert setlist choices back. (Neither Eh Ah Sou nor Albino have been performed live since Kansai 2013)

Pretty cool video, this is something that I didn't expect someone would do, so cool that you did it. Here an extensive comment on stuff that I could add from my perspective: You forgot to mention the 3 concerts will be the same no matter the time you choose, also what my friend and I discussed, if you saw the last "Miku with you" concert, most of the stuff shown there will be in "Miku Expo," more because the mentioned of the AR thing they confirmed(they show it on "Miku with You" too). What crypton does is pick from previous so most songs that appeared in "Miku with you" and last "Magical Mirai" are going to be there. The wowaka tribute is gone, now is going to be a sponsor song of the guitar with Unknown Mother Goose(is kinda of a tribute but more focus on the miku guitar by ESP this time...because of money), Also there's supposedly 3 songs picked by fans(from the campaign reward) but that has a trick by Crypton, so maybe old songs will appeared. PS: sorry if I sound like a jerk in here, is wasn't the intention...

the first concert starts at 9 PM EST! Depending on your schedule it should be possible to catch at least one of the showtimes, but if you were interested in catching the EU and JP digital stars performances, you may be out of luck unless you pull an all-nighter or wake up very early :'D (JP and EU performers are on at 5 AM and 9 AM, respectively) it's a shame about the glowsticks, though ^^; I was hoping to get one too but I missed the pre-order period i think :'D a site called mikumerch seems to have the 2020 glowsticks in stock(?) but I'm not sure if it's legit or not hope this helps/that you're able to attend!

Mikumerch is an official site by CFM and they still have ME2020 goods in stock so you can buy those safely. I'm not really sure about how the goods for ME2021 will go about because they said that it'll go back in stock twitter.com/hobbystock_en/status/1394215776781934595 on May 17 but it hasn't yet. They'll go in stock soon hopefully
