Once again. God sends me a message by using sermons on KZbin. My never does this. It's only happened 2 other times in the past couple of months. When I wake I don't touch my phone. My phone comes on by itself. And when it does it is a sermon talking about what I have been praying for an thinking about. This sermon came on all by itself. The last one that came on was dr. Charles stanley called. God's timing is basically essential. I stop what I'm doin an listen to it very hard. Cuz it's the message from God telling me to slow down. Thank you Preston for this message from God.

Sorry Preston if I say to much on the comments. This message here is very powerful for me. There is so much disappointments in our lives. All I can do is to thank the lord for the disappointments cuz it makes me stronger. I know one day God will use me to teach others. I need to be patient and just listen. I can not force it. Or it will never happen. Sometimes it feels as if the holy spirit is telling me to get my story out someway cuz it's not about my life. My wife's health is not good. Really want to make her life the best now. Only god can make that happen. So thank you very much. Now watching hearing God's voice is easy on the leaders cut for the 3rd time lol.

Here's my notes!!! 🤩 A Guide to Overcoming Disappointment - Preston Morrison 1 Kings 18 and 19 "If I allow you to put me on a pedestal, I'm going to fall... so instead I'm gonna be real about the struggles I have." -okaywarren We can get SIDEWAYS when we pretend to be okay. Disappointment is not just a weight I feel, but it CAN be a weapon Satan uses. Disappointment easily overtakes you when you don't know how to use it. ⭐️ Understand WHEN disappointment comes • Right after something amazing happens (Elijah and the prophets of Baal) If you expect everything to go awesomely, you're gonna be disappointed... HOWEVER we are to have joy in the midst. Be aware of reality. Awareness > Afraid and Stagnant.The force of your victory in Christ will always be met with the full force of Satan's opposition. • When something doesn't go as you expected. (Elijah had to send seven times for evidence that rain was ACTUALLY coming.) Expectations can be fun but also dangerous. First and foremost, expect God to be God... BUT... don't be so specific that you expect God to do exactly what YOU think He will do. Don't paint pictures in your mind that God never promised. The more specific you try to get, the more room you make for disappointment. Let God be God and you be humble. ON THE FLIP SIDE... When things don't go as YOU expected, Satan loves to give the narrative that nothing is going to go as planned. He will use perception as fake "reality" in order to discourage. One of Satan's favorite ways to scare us is to have us believe God is held by any boundary or standard other than the ones He's given Himself. ⭐️ Understand WHERE disappointment comes fastest. • When you are alone. (Elijah is under a death threat from Jezebel *19:3-4) NEVER WANDER THROUGH THE WILDERNESS ALL BY YOURSELF. One of the most foolish things I can do is navigate the wilderness all by myself. Elijah believed he was all by himself. God tells Elijah there are 7,000 others that have not bowed the knee... just like him. The only reason you are ever alone is because you choose to be. In the family of God, isolation is a choice, not a circumstance. If I'm ever alone, it's not because of reality but because of choice. The enemy will pick you off in isolation. DON'T BE SO PROUD THAT YOU CAN'T IN TEARS SCREAM OUT I NEED HELP! Do life together... • When you're empty. When easy things seem impossible, your tank is empty. Not because you're weak... but because you're empty. Take this into account in any temptation. Pornography, selfish ambition, unforgiveness... You'll see that this is true. The more miles you must travel, the more fuel you must have. When you're running on fumes, you will ALWAYS crash out. Many of us are running on fumes and pretending to be full. Hustle culture teaches us running on fumes is sexy. Elijah teaches us that's foolish. DON'T BE SO PROUD THAT YOU CAN'T FILL YOURSELF AND RECOGNIZE YOUR EMPTINESS SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU DON'T WANNA LOOK WEAK! Take time to be filled... ⭐️ Understand HOW disappointment comes at you. • LIKE A FLOOD... not a friend. (Elijah was just calling down fire... now he's calling down death on himself *19:4) Disappointment COMES quickly and must be dealt with QUICKLY. Are there things going on inside of you that are opening doors for disappointment to flood your life? Please please please... get proactive about God and your prayer life BEFORE the trouble comes... • LIKE A DARK CLOUD. (Elijah says he's no better than his ancestors. *19:4) Elijah's ancestors never called down fire for the glory of God. God used Elijah to do what is DIFFERENT, but he couldn't see that properly. When you can't see what God is doing THROUGH you properly, you'll never see who He's creating you to be properly. If you can't see straight, you'll never see YOU straight. The enemy gets us to tap out under the cloud of darkness and confusion. He will take what is "reality" and give you narratives that God doesn't speak. In your dark cloud of doubts and upset expectations, when the enemy wants you to believe that nothing can be done for you and everything you felt God had promised you is a lie... learn to tell the enemy "THAT IS NOT HOW GOD TALKS!" When light is shining through your life, Satan will always try to extinguish it with darkness... but darkness cannot extinguish light, my friend. Fight the darkness not with your ego or harsh attitude, but with the word of God. "When I don't know what to do or where to go, YOUR WORD WILL ALWAYS TELL ME SO... The darker things get, the more I need HIS flashlight." The Bible should not be and IS NOT a box to check, it's a weapon to wield. Satan is picking on you AND people you love, and he's using disappointment. The "off" feeling you have is not you going crazy... it's an attack. It's a dark cloud that needs the light of Christ in it. His Word is the lamp... get to it. When you're disappointed... TRUST THE LORD. Remember and dwell on these three things... 🗣️God knows what He's doing, even and especially when I don't. (Ecclesiates 11:5) 🗣️ God has everything He needs to pull off what He wants to do with me. (Ephesians 3:20) 🗣️ Nothing can stop what God wants to do. (Isaiah 14:27... God's own words) Embrace the pain of Friday. Endure the waiting of Saturday. Enforce the victory of Sunday... It's only Saturday... Sunday is coming.
