From playing T8 competitive when Lenin WAS available: for the longest time Vladivostok had a much higher winrate and pickrate. I'm not sure what changed to make Lenin considered more OP, but Vladivostok is DEFINITELY S tier.

Vladivostok is for certain the strongest tech tree battleship, I just always feel like I do better in Lenin

Lenin doesn't have the russian tech tree improved acc at closer range like Vlad does, instead it has the same american/british/german dispersion formula. However it's a lot tankier than Vlad in my experience, plus all 3 turrets rotate to either side as needed unlike most BBs and it still has that nice russian fast AP.

Kidd is an extremely strong pick for a DD, especially with the high number of CVs and Hybrids. I usually play her, but after playing so much Haida in the last season and wanting to rank up my Andrew Cunningham I went with Cossack. Mainz with Lütjens is a monster.

@@RazorwaveTV 5 rapid firing guns with good turn speed, repair party, low concealment and a good maneuverability. It can pretty easily dumpster other DDs but be careful around Cossacks, those things dictated the fight with their hydro and fast cool-down smokes.

My added thoughts for each class. DD, the Kidd is a solid choice especially if CV are prevalent, it has both DFAA and Heals with good conceal and solid DPM. CL/CA the clone sisters Maya/Atago/Atago B have Hydro and Heals with good kiting torps and HE with a 17% fire chance. BB, I am a firm believer in the Tirpitz since it brawls well with the lowest skill floor to be effective and emergency torps never go out of style.

Massachusetts continues to be my favorite ship in the game. The way it plays, including one of the strongest brawlers at Tier 8, just gets soo much work done. And those secondaries. I can't count how many times they've made the difference in one vs one, or even two vs one situations. When both sides of it's secondaries lock on targets and the fires start going, it's basically ship porn. I landed the Lenin in a Christmas crate this past Dec, and even after just a couple games, I was just left stunned at how freaking powerful and accurate it's AP salvos are. Thing is just a citadel machine for sending cruisers and battleships to the gulag. Very tanky and has a nice supply of heals to keep it going. As long as the CV doesn't decide to focus on you, you can put up big damage games consistently. Great ship for using Kuznetsov. Of the two, I would probably still want to play the Massa because of those secondaries. For the closer quarters of ranked, it's such a damage dealer.

The secondaries are overrated after the nerf to IFHE and manual secondaries though. They are still a massive threat to CLs, but otherwise you are looking at a lot of shattering HE against BBs and CAs. And for DDs the once pinpoint accurate secondaries are no longer that much of a threat at longer ranges. So for the most part, those secondaries are now mostly worthwhile due to fire starting, whereas before they had a role of direct damage dealing. The heal and being virtually uncittable is still great though, and so is the ship.

I found the hybrid secondary built Kii very effective in ranked battles. My other top BB choice is the Constellation. I have the Lenin and the Massa but these ships are less appealing to me for ranked.

Tirpitz is arguably the top brawling ship in the right hands. I'm swapping between the Mass and the Tirpitz as my go to ships for the current ranked. The torps have saved me and the match on several occasions. The Enterprise CV has been effective for me too. Good luck reaching your milestone. Added a sub.

Atago - still a boss, would pick over Bayard. Massa is just - great in close maps, I still rate NC TBH, Vlad and Zeit can sod off

BB: Massa, Lenin, Vlad, Vanguard(this is almost a tier 8 thunderer, ALMOST!!) Amagi and NC+Alabama are good too. Cruisers: All of them work more or less but stay away from shimanto, you might as well be AFK then. DD: Cossack and Kidd, Akizuki and the french dds are strong too. What else? Hmmm, DONT PLAY Z-35. CV: All of them are good. SUPREME: Aquila- 41 battles in silver(not counting qualifications those sit at 51) only 3 DEFEATS, resulting in 93% winrate. If you are extremely experienced regarding CVs and also knowing the game in and out, this is the top pick.

Mass is a beast for sure, as is the Lenin - but I'm surprised you didn't give Tirpitz any props. I think she's a solid option as well, though a bit trickier to play well IMO than either of the other two premiums you mentioned.

You also implode if someone looks at you and you're not that fast. Bayards DPM is so close to Cleveland that I think she's just better with what else she brings

@@RazorwaveTV On the contrary, Cleveland has 27 deck which I don't think Bayard has and an extremely low citadel as well. Cleveland's HE DPM is nearly 20% higher and it has 10 degree better arcs to boot, so I find it does a lot more damage than a bayard in practice

Vladivostok and Lenin are poor choices for T8 ranked. They reload far too slowly, have poor HE capacity if ships angle toward you, they are not as tanky as made out to be with limited DCP and heals. They have very poor brawling ability with no secondaries or torpedo's, and a massive citadel each. You just have to rely on paid actors giving you broadside.
