The pigs were actually moved from Staniel Cay to this island. They were originally on Staniel but the locals complained as the population grew so the were moved to the neighboring island. As you probably noticed as you approached the beach the smell was not great this was the main complaint of the Staniel Cay locals to the pig owners.

Pigs were commonly left on islands by colonial explorers, traders, and pirates so that when they returned at a later date for forage, they would have abundant resources of huntable meat. They also did similar with cows and horses (for meat and riding). That is how beef and horses made their ways to North America.

In this case, they were put there to entertain tourists. They have full time care takers and a visit from a veterinarian 3 or 4 times a year.

insta360 and a gopro not sure which number probably an Hero 8/9 along with a DomePro or PolarPro for the shots were camera is partially submerged showing above and below the water line

We started in Miami. Look for the earlier episodes it will show you the journey. Just have to check in with customs at your first stop.
